You have been doing it right. Keep doing it. I use rotella in all my push rod engine, outboards, small engines. Nothing wrong with it. It's the best oil out there. They do make a 10w-30, but it's a synthetic blend
I have a 96 f150 with the 302 and have used Delo 15w-40 for years and does just fine plus they have a chart in the owners manual that tells you depending on what climate you are in versus what thickness of oil is preferred
I've been driving (read: beating the shit out of) a '91 Ranger XLT for 2 whole decades now. It's been lubed with 10W-30 and 10W-40 the whole time. I'm pretty sure if I changed anything *at all* at this point the whole thing would disintegrate or implode or something. Kinda tempted to try the 5W-20 now though.
For anyone wondering, the SUV is converted to right hand drive for paracel and mail delivery. Usually for workers in rural areas for USPS where its not beneficial to have a full on USPS office close to that area.

Interestingly enough I made the 3rd most calls on the fire department for the year 2023. That sure sounds like I wasn't doing anything huh? Sound alike I was worthless and sat around huh? Oh yeah not to mention this was all for volunteer department. All those hours of training. All the gas I spent driving too and from. All those resources I wasted trying to give back to this community.....I should have used that time with my family or on my business! Talk crap all you want I can prove every bit of this.

This is actually my old car you got it from the kid that got it off of me, I bought the car for parts swapped front clips took some interior too anddd suspension hence why it’s low in the front I put struts in with NO springs, I added all new plugs and sea foam before the blonde kid Tommy got it Anyways I have a side skirt and trim and engine covers for that still in garage if wanted
He definitely lives in an upper low class trailerpark with one more parts methstang in the driveway and his larger sized ol lady drives an old explorer with permanently stained carpet that smells like apple juice farts and piss lmao
