Always a surprise up his sleeve, really wasn't expecting the distortion at the end. Wonder how much is planned and how much is pure improvisation, I suspect largely the latter but every rendition has a definite structure. So many mini masterpieces!
Tobias' light touch brings out the best in any type of guitar/pickup. He's the poster child for "It's in the fingers." ... Beautiful progression and hook!
Comparing this video with the one with Tobias playing the 64 fb iii clearly shows the difference between vintage and modern. This sounds good but the vintage bird is just magic in his hands
I have the same 61 AVRI ll I fiesta red. Played terrible right out of the case and after a setup neck still buzzes from nut to top fret.. I have owned thre Fender AVRI’s and loved them, but this…?
Just bought one 4 weeks ago, gigged it 3 times. No complaints. I hear talk about QC, sorry for all of you, that have issues. I haven't had any problems with mine, neither recording or gigging this guitar. It stays in tune, it feels great, it sounds great, very special in a way. But, yeah, it was f^^^ing expensive.
Absolutely bloody ridiculous guitar playing, as we say in Wales 🏴 Fuck's sake boy, you've bloody nailed it! ✊️🙌🎸🎶 Seriously though, keep an eye out 🧐
It feels impertinent to comment, but if impertinence be a sin so be it: Listened twice to make sure I was sure, but my suspicions were confirmed. The spirit of the cosmos has been captured and channelled through this man. Every musical wonderment of this magnificent existence is encapsulated in just this 10 minutes, and I've only had 3 large gin and tonics and one of those other things that make the world worth living in. Tobias always comes up with terrific progressions to blow over -- sometimes they're so simple, but he can improvise endlessly with them. I heard some classic Strat tones here, but the banjo passage was a real surprise -- don't recall hearing banjo simulation on a Strat from anyone!
