I’m very familiar with the ghosts in this game and I find it fun to guess the ghost before they do, it’s hard though because I can’t test for stuff or check things like they can, but they don’t know what they’re doing. I got wraith correct though. I’m only half way through so we’ll see what happens.

I mostly watch absurdly cracked meta playing 6 stars and watching this after that was wild lol. Always need new players, though. Good video, hope to be able to follow along as you figure the game out more.

I just want to clarify something, ill explain this better in Part 2 but when I say “fall” i dont mean as a company. I think right now Valve is at its’ peak in that regard. What I mean by the use of that word is that they aren’t as innovative as they were when it came to the Half Life games where they were pushing the FPS genre. Steam is an amazing service that I love to use and has inspired many jobs in the industry which is always good, I planned to leave that explanation to the second part but I think it mightn’t be clear that I do genuinely love Valve and everything they do.

[READ AFTER THE VIDEO!!] So I realised that I forgot to mention something pretty important in my video that ties some stuff together. The early betas of The Forest did not include the aforementioned lab and experiment storyline elements. This leads me to believe they had something completely different in mind that was BASED OFF colonialism of the past, specifically in the tribes of cannibals. I then think that they switched up the focus of the story, believing that their premise was sensitive towards the Indigenous Americans. I'm not calling this a bad, nor good thing, it's just something that I wanted to point out. I'm honestly still really new to making videos and scripting so hopefully overtime I learn to ACTUALLY lay out the points I wanted to.
This video went everywhere with its script, but the main message you want to send is "videogame eploration is dying because spanish people 700 years ago". . Look, you are trying out this youtube thing, your channel is new, these old videos may be forgotten by history in 4 years when you get a good sub count, but here's a word of advice: Even IF you want to put a Democrat spin on your scripts, do it when it's appropiate, don't talk politics if the focus of the topic is, idk, "Dark Souls difficulty". There ARE situations when you can 100% go full politics, like Spec Ops the Line or whatever, but neither try to force it, not (you should) develop a warped view of reality which will corrode you like acid and which will destroy you in the future like In Praise of Shadows did to himself. . . . The pieces to be a nice youtube channel are there, try just to not focus on "le white people bad", you are talking about videogames, not politics. Mechanics don't fix cars by calling the engines racist.
I was talking about history, which is a huge passion of mine that I want to incorporate into videos. I was not being political or racist, everything I said had been recorded and confirmed. Also your summary of the video was not what I was trying to do, I dont think video game explanation is dying because of the Conquistadors 😭
@@Firecraicr Well, this is a case of "intentions don't matter, the finished product does". You opened the video with the european discovery of the americans and then basically based most of the rest of the video over that. Don't get me wrong, The Forest's developers are complete morons (just look at the in-engine name of Virginia, or at SovietWomble's video), but saying "yadda yappa it's just like the colonisers, you are in a coloniser simulator" is just plain wrong. For context, you are Mr Nobody surviving a plane crash because the Scientist in Red needed to kidnap a child for the Satan Machine to swap its life with his dead daughter's; you as the father have to travel and achieve disjointed objectives added update-by-update until you are covered in bone armor and have like 30 sticks of dinamite. You find access to the Fortress of Doom through a cave system (the ENTIRE underground section of the map have the North and South INVERTED), find out the disaster in the Science Facility, find your dead kid and the dead Scientist in Red. You find his daughter, now with demonic appendices sprouting from her, and have to kill her with fire. You try to use her to reverse the "my son is dead" procedure, but you can't, the Satan Machine needs a live subject. From there there are two endings: you are given the option to use magic satan powers to drop ANOTHER plane from the sky, kidnapping a child yourself, or not do it, accept your child's death, and leave the island. Canonically, you drop a plane. . . . So, yeah. You can see how you focused not only on something that is not videogames, but also on making up a narrative instead of actually describing things accurately. I am not a Culture Warrior moron who is blinded by its own liver failure, I know that you are a democrat at best. You seem like a fun guy and your stuff CAN become very nice to consume (I have no better word in my head right now), but as for now, using this one video as my only benchmark, you need to change things, as I stated in my original comment. . ALSO remember to self-censor on youtube, a LOT of words are on an automatic blacklist, deleting the comments VERY FAST, and sometimes it just happens randomly instead.
@@Firecraicr This guy is being really weird about this feedback honestly. Your video is defintely flawed, the Minecraft section is mostly a surface level description thats never for any greater purpose, the Farcry points never resolve into anything but not liking Ubisoft and dont tell us why exploration might have been better previously or is worse now, and The Forest section seems to mostly complain about the story rather then the exploration itself, while being very vague about both. I have no idea why this guy is so insistent on you being a Democrat or why that matters, you dont even talk about politics really, the premise of your points just assumes that colonisation was bad, like no duh, of course it is, why does Clarke here care so much. Maybe it wasnt that relevant to exploration to link in colonisation, but the problem is not it being political in anyway. Also i find it funny they call you a Democrat specifically, a USA party lol, as if everyone bases their political views in the USA. I hope to see you make more videos.
@@CrypticSpoon1 I do have my reasons for mentioning it but honestly the video was scripted kinda poorly, I'm still getting used to it really, I'm just trying to make sure that every video I make is better than the last, but yeah I'll probably remaster it at some point and actually clearly lay out my points ;-; I don't really know why this guy was calling me political though, I dont think its political nor brave to say colonialism was bad (im also irish so i come from descendancy of victims of colonialism)
I'm commenting this at the beginning of the video so it might be brought up but the last time I actually felt like I was exploing anything was assassin's Creed Odyssey. One of the most beautiful environments and worlds
