Hi there, thank you for your question. This Coppia door (model COPA-935), has an adjustment of 1-1/2" overall. It breaks down to 1" adjustment on the panel side, and 1/2" adjustment on the door side for out-of-plumb wall conditions. If the out-of-plumb conditions are more severe, a filler will be needed. For more information or assistance with installation questions and fillers, please feel free to reach out to our customer care team at 1.800.45.BASCO or via inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com.
Hi there, thanks for your comment. The problem may be a defective bottom guide causing too much pressure on the panel while sliding, or possibly a defective roller. Another possibility is that the wall jambs were not installed plumb, which will cause the panels to lean and not line up with the wall jamb bumpers. Our first suggestion would be to check that the wall jambs are plumb. If they are not, this would be the first thing to fix. If they are, please reach out to our Customer Service team for assistance with replacement parts. You can reach us at 1.800.45.BASCO or via inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com.
Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Essentially, you would have to follow the instruction tutorial in reverse to take it off. You have to take the bracket off with a small rubber mallet, so get to the screw. You can do this by tapping the top edge of the metal part that is attached to the glass (finger pull). It will be tight, but it is not glued or screwed to the glass. Oce the bracket is off, you can access the screw easily. If the screw is stripped or so, you may need to look into other ways to remove it, like with a screw extractor or such. Please always feel free to reach out to our Tech Specialists at 1.800.45.BASCO or via inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com for more detailed assistance!
Hi there, thank you for your question. It is hard to give an answer with certainty, since we cannot see your door, but it most likely needs a tub track filler. The curb of your tub is probably slanted, creating a slope for the door to roll down on. If the door is properly installed with any needed fillers, the door will not open on its own. You can order a filler in our Parts Store on our website at www.bascoshowerdoor.com, or contact our Customer Care team for assistance if you have any questions about the part number or the installation of the filler. You can reach us at 1.800.45.BASCO or via inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com.
Hi there, thanks for your question. Yes, that is correct. The glass is heavy enough to ensure this is a safe and structurally sound method for installing this type of enclosure. For questions about the installation process or about the product, please don't hesitate to give our Customer Care team a call at 1.800.45.BASCO or email us via inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com.
Thank you for your question. No, framed and frameless sweeps are different. For more information, please feel free to contact our Customer Care team at 1.800.45.BASCO or via inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com.

THANK YOU for showing how to install the door properly! I have a leak and was messing with the shower and the seal. I pushed up on the door and came back down and it POPPED out! I couldn’t get it back in to save my life! Thankfully I was really holding onto it! I had no idea shower doors were so heavy! Thankfully I have another shower. That’s what I’ve been using and mine is out of commission. Putting it back on today! Thank you for going step my step. That round spacer on the bottom was messing with me lol I was gonna use tape I was starting from the bottom 🤦🏻♀️ this makes way more sense.

Thank you for your feedback! We're happy to see the video was helpful and apologize for the inconvenience with our service number. Did you call our 1-800-45-BASCO line? The number should work, but you can also always reach out to us via email at inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com if you need assistance.
@@BascoShowers yep that’s the one. It’s some kind of medical thing where a recording answers. But thankfully this video helped us immensely. Thanks again.
Hi there, thank you for your comment. To best help you with this, we recommend you reach out to our Tech Specialists for assistance. Ideally, you have your shower door model number available, so we can verify that you were replacing the bottom sweep with a matching product and give you advice for the application process. You can reach our Customer Care team at 1-800-45-BASCO or via inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com.
Ditto. The video ignores the difficulty of placing the sweep on the portion of the door closest to the hinges/wall. Unlike the instructions and illustration, you cannot just push the sweep up to fit the door. You have to slide it into place and depending on how tight the sweep is (mine is impossibly tight) it will be very difficult to slide it all the way to the wall/hinge side. I wish the video showed how to manage that part of the installation.
Hi there, thanks for your questions. Both questions can be answered with a yes. It can be installed without the 2x4 behind it and it is supported by the jamb. This is what makes our Coppia frameless series special!
Hi there, thank you for your question! Normally, we recommend you use a SCV928T2 Double Fin Vinyl, which you can find in our Part Store on our website at www.bascoshowerdoor.com, to minimize leakage. With Frameless RODA units, we never guarantee a 100% leak proof door, because due to the nature of the product and its desired frameless look, it is impossible to close the gaps perfectly. The vinyl is the best option to minimize leakage, but many do not want to use them to retain the clean look of the frameless door.
Presenter has annoying sing song style that's hard to bear. It would be useful to explain the labels on the glass door installation to determine which side goes inside shower. The label says "install this side out" but it's not clear if "out" means toward outside of the shower or toward wet side since the instructions say the labels indicate the coated side.
I hate videos like this because alot of these videos are misleading for people who watch this, alot of unprofessional work done by people who claim to know what they are doing, alot of glass companies now a days just do anything and will bs people and take their money
Hi Amy, other than replacing the tile, you can use a mold and mildew-resistant silicone that matches the color of the tile as good as possible. Once the hole is filled, use a razor blade to smooth the top.
@@BascoShowers in my case the customer cant close it the rest of the way, it goes back to that 5-10 you spoke of. I do have this hairbrained idea to add a shim to the outer side of the hinges. I know itll be trial and error.
@@Mophead520 A shim can be added, but it sounds like the pin inside the hinge is set to close about 5 degrees off. The pin can be turned, but it might be easier to flip the hinges upside down, so the door closes inside the shower 5 degrees, and a vinyl strike jamb can be added so that the door closes against that.
Hi there, thank you for reaching out with your question. As it would be too long of an answer to type out, we recommend you contact our Customer Service Team and they can assist you over the phone or forward you instructions via email. You can reach out to us via inquiry@bascoshowerdoor.com or 1-800-45-BASCO.
Hi Debi, using a new utility knife with a sharp blade, cut away the silicone inside and out and pry it up with a 5 in 1 painter's tool, flathead screwdriver, or a putty knife. Once it is up, if there is silicone on the threshold, scrape as much off as you can, then use the fresh blade to cut the rest off.
Word up….I removed my doors and under that railing bar, there was a city of fungi with swimming pools and cabanas! From the outside I never suspected anything like that was going on. 😡
I guess there's been some changes. First, make sure to trim the plastic/rubber strip that goes into the bottom rail as the side rails WILL NOT GO OVER IT. Take about 1 1/4" off the wall to wall measure for this (not the metal, just the rubber) this gives you 5/8" on either side. Second, MY doors came with white plastic inserts not seen on this video. I called BASCO to ask if they were integral or just shipping protection. Mind you, I called installation SUPPORT. The person I spoke to said to me "it SOUNDS LIKE they're just packaging. Well they aren't. They are the anti-jump rails. Ugh. Thank gawd I didn't get the whole thing together before finding further instructions.

Hi there, thanks for your question. We actually do not have a door that is called "7000 series". If you are referring to the 7150 door, then you should be able to just take it out of the packaging and turn it around. There is no "up" or "down" side of the door itself. If you have an issue with your installation, please reach out to our customer service via email or phone. They will be able to help you with your installation. Thank you!
Hi Karlton, thanks for your question. In order to remove the bracket, you have to use a rubber mallet to separate the acrylic bracket from the bar first. Afterward, you will want to use the same rubber mallet to tap on the metal component that slides over the glass. Once the bracket is off, the screw that holds the acrylic bracket on the frame can be removed. If you need more help, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer service. They will be happy to assist you!
Thank you for your question! The frame comes pre-drilled. If there is no stud behind your acrylic walls, you will want to use the anchors supplied in the hardware strip. We recommend not drilling into the base. The majority of our doors are sealed to the base with silicone, with the exception of our heavy glass frameless doors, which we do not advise putting on acrylic bases due to their overall weight.
Hello Sully, thank you for your question. When measuring, we find that using a stud finder works well. Our installers use that to determine if a wall has a stud and where it is located. You can purchase a stud finder at your local home improvement stores, such as Lowes or Home Depot.
One thing to note here is that the nuts on the wheels go against the metal not on the outside. This was not clear and I fought the sliding for too long before I figured this out.
Thank you for your question. We do have information we can send that might assist in installing the tapered fillers. Please provide your email address and we can send the information over to you. If you prefer, you can also reach out to our customer service team directly and they will be able to assist you.
You can't buy the maintain unless you buy it in a kit with products you don't need. If I had known this I probably would have bought it without the coating and applied it myself.
Hi Steve, we sorry to hear that you had difficulties finding the individual cleaner online. You can find the Maintain AquaGlideXP Spray Cleaner for purchase in our Parts Store as well as in our Care & Cleaning section of our website. This link will lead you directly to it: bascoshowerdoor.com/search?category=parts&query=maintain
can i install a bypass shower door on a fiberglass/acrylic/prefab shower with bathub? The stall walls portrudes on the side about an 1" I think so I don't know how would I install the side wall rails on this type of shower.?
Hi Marco, a bypass door can be installed on fiberglass/acrylic material. The vertical wall jambs are 1 1/2" minimum width and need to sit flush against the wall so that they are perpendicular to the horizontal track that sits on the threshold and the horizontal header that holds the door panels. We hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service if you need more help.
I purchased a 300 dollar version, arrived chipped on door, top panel scratched to hell and back then to top it of the logo is upside down. Packaging was terrible. Garbage product.
