@@georgeauto Hay won’t be get tix for this because I would not be able to store use or take care of it properly But what you have done is really a fabulous outcome More chat on your channel might help too
Really good video mate. Inspiring, positive and really well done. So good to see an '87 VL restored to it's former glory - not turned into yet another drift or drag car with oversized rubber. You've inspired me to do something with the VY Berlina wagon sitting in the driveway, so nice one! Congrats on the twins too "-)
Thanks a lot! And glad you enjoyed it , yes I think you can’t go wrong bringing it back to original style , then it’s up to the winner to do as they please with it
Much more than the build itself, I so admire you George for your commitment to getting the job done. I've watched a few of your vids and to me you'ee a straight up, no bullshit, friendly and very helpful bloke that has indeed got skills as a motivational coach. Not just when it come to vehicle builds either, although I can see that you are passionate about this. Your son is a very lucky young man to have a father like you. These commitment skills relate to life as much as building and restoring cars. You are an amazing human George!
Very well said G. I've been wondering where you have been and glad to see that you have been busy. Alot of powerful words in there about commitment and sticking to your word. As well as the satisfaction of finishing something thats HARD. I've been struggling with a project this past year and its on a turn around at the moment. So i can see the finish line. Massive congrats on the family additions too. That also explains alot!!! Hopefully we can go cruising together soon!
Thankyou so much ! New additions to the family are such a blessing , and yes i havnt posted much lately but I’ve been doing a heap of work behind the scenes , got a few videos coming out soon just have to catch up on the editing
Mate awesome build. Had a VL many years ago. Love them. Apart from the car building you could easily become a motivational speaker or have your own podcast. Good voice and great words. Well done. Keep going!
Thanks so much for this comment , it’s motivating me to do more , I love motivational speaks I have a whole other channel dedicated to it , I listen to a lot too that’s where it comes from
Stunning VL mate, my old man had a venetian red Executive Turbo wagon back in ''87-88, one of the strongest memories of being a kid was us doing a family trip from Sydney to Brisbane for Expo '88. That little reminder and the nostalgia it gave me totally made my day, so thanks for that.
Holy shit i remember seeing the first video on this car you guys have done a wicked job and the paint looks brand new well done love the hub cabs to really presents the car well
Absolutely beautiful restoration. Thank you George for sharing your journey and the words you have spoken in the video have true meaning and can see are genuine. I’ve entered the competition and hopefully I can win this car as my little boys would love it. They are 7 and 9 years old and they love VL’s like their dad. Once again beautiful restoration well done and credit to yourself and your son. 😁
Thankyou yes it’s the 7th car we are working on together, currently working on his own XG ute, we’ve also done my FG, the Territory , an LTD , a 323 my EA and a few other Falcons so yes it was amazing time with him but have to move on as kids come first
Awesome job GG. It was clearly a big job, well done on sticking with it, I’ve seen so many builds or restorations stall when it starts getting tricky. Nobody asks how many hours work went into it, they only ask who did it, and you can be proud to put your name to it. Nice work
@@georgeauto 👍. Nah, used to play basketball and football against your group of mates at school. And would kick your mate’s footy onto the road from time to time
G'day George, I'm sorry I haven't been around for ages. I have been absolutely flat out busy on my RU-vid channel lately, Bill's Channel 1987. I do have quite a few AU Ford contents on there, too. Since from August 5th, 2024, I have then purchased myself a new car . It is a 1998 Toyota Corolla Conquest hatchback twin cam inline 4, 5-speed manual. The colour of my car is also Metallic Purple. Cheers George all the best to both you and your son, plus your family. From William. Mount Gambier South Australia.
He is yes ! We always have a bit of a chat and a joke , I was just saying to Thomas I hope he sees himself in this video ! Thankyou for your comment I appreciate it
Just beautiful mate. Would love to put a baby seat in it and take my girls to car shows and just to cruize in it. It would be parked in the garage and covered until Georgina helped wash it. What your doing is just amazing, and well done Thomas.
