The middle era art style is what most people think of when they think of bleach but something about early bleach’s art style really sticks with me I love the sharpness of it
I wouldn't wanna draw like him lol. Prior to getting into One Piece one of the main things that turned me off was Oda's art. After getting into it I can appreciate the story and world building, and that's where he shines. He's just not one of my favorite artists and a lot of his characters suffer from "same face syndrome."
HOLY DAMN THANK YOU theres also to notice this is solely referring to bodily anatomy n proportions n does not factor in things like chrctr design (i notices that odas chrctrs from top to shoulders have ATLEAST 3 distinguising features like earings, weird eyebrow shape etc, thats what makes all of them so distinct) and also that he tends to exxagerate some proportions esp on face be it the lower jaw, eyelids or anything art is so fun to study great video
Really succinct analysis of One Piece's Artstyle! The Middle Era of OP's artstyle is definitely some of my favourite in how it uses those big blocky shapes and strong gesture lines to really emphasise characters' motion and movement.
The avg human is 7.5-8 heads tall and the avg human male is about 5' 9. Bleach's proportions are correct, but the slim bodies makes them look taller than normal.
i'm cracking up when you said "aizen is eight head tall..." while seeing 8 head of aizen stacked beside him. you're definitely a menace to soul society. either way thanks for the analysis, its great to know other perspective on how to stylize a character especially with tite kubo style.
Can you do one about gege akutami's style in the near future. These are really helpful in breaking down their style and signature marks. Really cool stuff, thanks for the effort into these!!
I think the reason why Kubo draws his characters so lean with elongated arms, legs and torso is due to the fact that he can dress them fashionably in different clothing for cover pages. Its the similar reason why in fashion shows and runways, generally models with long limbs and tall heights are preferred. That anatomy can help accentuate the curves and details of the clothing more.
I think the most prominent changes of kubo's style can be seen on Orihime designs. From the early arc , her design much simplicitic, doesn't hold too much gravitas, with thinner lines where his drawing style much akin too his previous work, zombie powder. Too me, seeing Kubo changes his style without sacrificing details is the show of maturity. Not only for him but also his character overall
Please do a Tokyo Ghoul analysis. I’ve always loved the art from the series but could never breakdown why. Maybe because of how it can switch from a softer look to aggressive in the same panel but🤷🏾♂️
@@whit3dant3 I'm not teaching you how to draw. If you can't already draw, this video won't help. If you can, it should help you replicate Bleach's art style.
