I think the reason why Kubo draws his characters so lean with elongated arms, legs and torso is due to the fact that he can dress them fashionably in different clothing for cover pages. Its the similar reason why in fashion shows and runways, generally models with long limbs and tall heights are preferred. That anatomy can help accentuate the curves and details of the clothing more.
I think bleach has 4 eras and a reason for this is that kubo said he purposefully changes how he draws depending on the arc/mood of that arc. Fullbring was my favourite style.
Shame ppl just don't get the fullbringer arc ppl say they want "darker more mature anime" yet the most serious arc in Bleach in terms of story themes is the worse
I think the most prominent changes of kubo's style can be seen on Orihime designs. From the early arc , her design much simplicitic, doesn't hold too much gravitas, with thinner lines where his drawing style much akin too his previous work, zombie powder. Too me, seeing Kubo changes his style without sacrificing details is the show of maturity. Not only for him but also his character overall
Great breakdown. Kubo is definitely one of the best, and seeing his artstyle progression over time is incredible. Love how his art looks by the end of the series.
i'm cracking up when you said "aizen is eight head tall..." while seeing 8 head of aizen stacked beside him. you're definitely a menace to soul society. either way thanks for the analysis, its great to know other perspective on how to stylize a character especially with tite kubo style.
I really like his original art style in the first era, so much charm and so much 2000s edge to it. It's my personal favourite out og all of Kubos' art styles.
@@whit3dant3 I'm not teaching you how to draw. If you can't already draw, this video won't help. If you can, it should help you replicate Bleach's art style.
