As I embark on my menopausal journey I realize if I would have eaten greens as a child and had a better understanding of good healthy food as opposed to quick unhealthy fast food I believe my journey would have been easier. Since experiencing so much Pain I began to look to other cultures with alternative health lifestyles that have impacted me in such a positive and wholesome way.
I’m glad this issue is being pushed to the forefront. I’m 56 and in relatively good health, exercise, eat decent mostly, not on any medications and couldn’t understand why my cholesterol numbers were so high and diag w Fatty Liver..what?!!! I started researching about menopause and drop in estrogen def wrecks all kinds of havoc in our bodies! Halle is not giving accurate information. Women spend most of their time in childbearing ages 15-50 and for some the age of 55. Some women don't experience perimenopause and only have maybe a decade of menopause. Much shorter than the reproductive age. Plus their is alot of research on menopause and doctors who specialize in women's health and women's mental health. Halle has access to those doctors. She doesn't have the type of diabetes that kills most women, black women, or black people. And she cured her diabetes with eastern medicine. So she is too privileged to speak to women health issues. Cory get you a woman who was working class to speak to this situation. The only thing I agree with is the hormone replacement therapy. It is free for LGBTQ but not for women who have health issues which it is needed. But Booker and other woke politicians are to blame for that one.
