this whole set is a masterclass on being funny. I love the way he trips over his words and kills any conventional timing, but makes up for it just by being authentic. the whole thing just feels real?????
Thank you for uploading this, but ngl this is exceedingly difficult to listen to. Norm is isolated to the left channel and has what sounds like a low-pass filter, while the audience is in stereo and crystal clear.
I was at this show. I remember his 80s style wind breaker and all the hilarious Covid jokes. This was at the height of the panic too. No idea it was hit last show. In my opinion he is the greatest stand up comic ever. I can listen to him talk about anything.
Those 3-4 people closest to the microphone with their incredibly annoying laughs and giggles are not in the least bit annoying. I didn't even notice. God bless Norm.
I've heard others talk of this performance for years but never heard it with my own ears. Finally!! And it's better than I thought. RIP to the greatest.
I agree with @rag..etc... but to their, and also the only.. "Norm"s credit, he really never did the same exact set, or rather even same exact joke, story, anecdote, etc the same twice. Even his one and two liner smash hits are always different even if only slightly.. in my humble opinion, this is probably the best rendition of this bunch of great shit from nothing special, and the last few years of his random stuff.. my favorite being the psychology major and why he drinks milk.. there's only one Norm, and nobody will EVER BE AS FEARLESS OR AS FUNNY OR AS MISSED...
