Charles was a clever politician and converted to Catholicism only at his death bed. His brother James II was probably not as diplomatic but he was without a doubt illegally overthrown.

I really don’t know why Louis XVI was guillotined. France was in financial trouble because they spent so much money on supporting the Revolution in America. But look what happened to France after the monarchy was overthrown. The reign of terror was horrible with the killing of all those innocent people. Then the Napoleonic wars with all the French soldiers being killed. When monarchies are overthrown the people who succeed the monarch are worse.

There was so much hate between "religion people", that Henri was trying to humiliate Margot with open affairs and forcing her to leave.. Even she saved his life once, he will not return that favor to her in time when she will need a help the most, he will keep to humiliate her in front of the court till the end. And she lived a relatively long life! If I had a time machine, I would like to visit her during her last years in Paris. She must have been a fascinating person to converse with.
