Hey there! I'm Sam Dams aka Fenruscloud on Magic Online. I'm a scientist, cat lover and gamer, but most of all a huge Magic: The Gathering fan. I mostly play Legacy, but do enjoy other formats as well. I'm known for specializing in my favorite archetype: Infect! I've won multiple tournaments with the deck, including the last Magic Cardmarket Series Legacy Tournament in Paris. I'm also owner of my own Patreon dedicated to Infect strategy advice and a twitch channel where I stream whenever I can.
Check out this channel if you're looking for interactive videos where I focus on sharing my thought patterns with you, or if you're just looking for a bunch of laughs!

I must admit that infect feels good at the moment. I admit I have only played once in the last year but went 3-2 which I was really proud of. I did make a few bad mistakes as well which meant I could have had a better result on another day. I’ve just got my Tamiyos too so I will see how they are as they do seem to be really good for the deck
I think I'm going to play this list at my next rcq may have to find replacements for the One Ring because I'm poor any suggestions I'm loving this list
@@Fenruscloudawesome thank you for the advice I will definitely credit you on my rcq sheet and let you know if I top 8 or win thank you for all the advice and the great videos they're very helpful
Pretty cool list! Although I haven't seen you playing against any kind of control in either of your PhCrusader videos, I wonder how would you faire against them.
Very cool list and ideia. Regarding the sugestion for 3 drops bullets to get with EE, there is that 3 mana infector that destroys an artifact etb, there is weirdly enought harbinger of the seas, there is that glissa, a lot of cool stuff. Super cool new tech
More cards to evolution in: -Plague engineer -viridian corruptor(kills random thrinispheres and chalices) Also preodain is better than ring. Thats the Hill i choose to die on
I know I’ve recommended it before but in Midrange Golgari I still think a 1-2 of Shadowspear for the Trample to get through chumps and lifelink to give us an extra cushion against burn is a good add. In a cute perfect world the indestructible removal allows us to Force of Vigor the One Ring but that’s not likely.
Congrats on the creator deal! I like the tainted strike, but no gb mdfc? No innkeeper's talent? And no ta from the side? Guy must have dodged ring and boardwipes like a champ and drawn like a god 😅 Good changes. Nice games at the end ;)
Cool deck but it feels like the manabase is too sparse to be playing inkmoth nexus, if inkmoth nexus was a colored source in game two you probably would have won even without drawing the third land.
Vs domain zoo. Currently 2.1% of the meta. Not a deck to target when building your deck to be anti-meta. Energy and control are the top3 decks and currently 35% of the meta which is what we target with this deck.
Would you consider sideboarding Dryad's Favour? From what I've seeing 90% of the decks are either some variant of Red/White or have Forests in their decks.
This is kinda what I was thinking of playing. Phrexian crusader is just too good into the metagame right now. I did want to run that new enchantment from assassin's creed that gives your chosen creature type fear (phyrexian obviously). edit: I'll add, play almost anything in modern or legacy and I'll watch.
I was thinking of trying out BUG infect. I think that phyrexian crusader and blighted agent (alongside rotpriest and inkmoth) are the best infecters in the format. I like mainboard thoughtsieze as well. As for other blue cards i like 4x preordain and 2x spell pierce in the mainboard. Im also interested in trying out some copies of Revitalizing Repast. Curious as to what your thoughts are on builds of BUG infect in modern currently, keep up the great work on the videos.
Man so happy your making more content, absolutely love how you break down the decks and especially stick to infect! Congrats on making the content team well deserved!!!
I've been trying Fear, Fire, Foes! in both GU and GB in the board (and a stomping ground in the main) and loved it against The One Ring decks, esepcally against Energy with all their x/1s
I did a selesnya deck build for modern, similar to this one. Had to search for it again, but had the same principle (have to update): 4 Glistener Elf 2 Ichorclaw Myr 4 Venerated Rotpriest 4 Noble Hierarch 3 Ignoble Hierarch 4 Might of Old Krosa 4 Mutagenic Growth 2 Vines of Vastwood 2 Apostle's Blessing 3 Scale Up 2 Royal Treatment 4 Rancor 4 Shapers' Sanctuary 1 Season of Growth 4 Forest 3 Temple Garden 4 Inkmoth Nexus 1 Boseiju, Who Endures 1 Pendelhaven 1 Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth 4 Windswept Heath
@@Fenruscloud Season of growth is great, but a tad slow, that's why the 4 shaper's sanctuary (lots of removals these days). Having a lot of mana dorks is no bad at all, since most of players follow the rule "bolt the bird", and they are useful for regular damage kill as a plan B.
love the content! great to see that someone is still playing and uppdating my pet deck. im curious about how you think it places in the meta and how vital tamiyo is?
I think the deck is very good now grief is banned, but I do believe tamiyo is quite the boost for the deck so I’d say if you can play them you probably should.
