Very interesting matches and decisions on your part, especially the Archon and Trinisphere games & not countering the Chalice. Looking forward to seeing LQR in this deck, it's going to be a certified banger. Keep up the awesome infect content!
I like that you've gotten up to 4 Embiggen / 0 Scale Up (or Become Immense). That's what I pretty soon came to after I started playing it in paper early this year. I was super hype for 4x Legolas Quick Reflexes from the moment it was spoiled, then yesterday I read it again and realized I had missed the final word -- I thought it'd let the creature deal damage to any target, not just target creature. Now I wonder if it's going to be part of a 2/2 or 2/1/1 split with the other cards you're putting it in place of.
It's absurd. Split second hexproof and gives your creature removal to get through blockers. I see how if you thought it was also a free berserk you'd be disappointed, but it's already excellent.
Is Court of Garenbrig a sideboard card you've tested at all? The combination of permanent counters and also monarch seems strong for infect. Also the choice for opponent to leave blockers or try to take monarchy. But maybe the current meta control has too many creatures for us to keep monarch.
I like the effect but it's very situational. You need creatures for it to be worth it and I think I'd only ever want this vs control deck. If they ever take the monarch from you though you probably lose.
I had tried looking up quick reflexes release date on mtgo today. I think it drops on the 12th or whatever, when new ixalan drops. I'm waiting to test it in depths as well.
I'm having a hard time finding information about Legolas's quick reflexes... will it only be available on foil and on the scene? will there be non-foil versions on the boosters?
Honestly I have no idea, I just bought 4 of the boxes this card is guaranteed to be in. I really can't be bothered to try and follow-up on WOTC's massive card printings recently.
It's not free though. The reason why you don't play this in Legacy is because it requires a large quantity of pump spell for it to be worth it. The card quality of pump spells in Legacy makes it so you usually only need 1 to win the game, which is why you don't play nearly as many pump spells as you do in Modern.
