Hello, what you have done is to create a public folder over wifi. There is a distance of 100 meters between my computer and my machine, so I took an internet cable and connected one end to the machine and the other to my computer. I am trying to connect the two using the access mymachine program, but it does not work, can you help me?
Hey mate, I have not created one over wifi, rather a local network. My machine does not have wifi and at the time of this video, we had a similar distance. Ethernet will work better, and it is what we used. What step are you able to get to?
Hello, we have a CNC machine of the same model, but there is no direct connection visible on the network drive. What is the reason and how can we solve it? thanks.
Hey mate, have you pinged the controller to confirm it is on the network? Also check that the ethernet port is connected inside the controller, sometimes the cable inside is missing/disconnected
@@protoperth The machine itself did not come with one, we installed it ourselves (it had a ethernet port though just didn't come with any cable) as for pinging, the ip address the machine gives out when you open service control does respond
@@protoperth the stage that gives us trouble is the one i timestamped in the original comment, instead of autofilling with its own information when rebooting the machine it stays completely blank
In the process of getting the pre-stage working. Currently with it enabled, the machine stages the tool prior to beginning the current operation which takes longer.
@@protoperth You need to call Syil then. You typically stage your next tool either on your first rapid move after a tool change or more commonly on the same line as your first Z down move. Your machine should be in motion while the next tool is getting into place thus, saving time.
Hello Lukas, the machine has done a great job for everything I have thrown at it thus far. I intend to continue to push the limits and document the successes and failures here. I cannot justify the costs of Hass or Doosan at the moment and for the features included in the price of the Syil, you’ll pay several thousands from bigger brands.
Awesome job buddy, going to take a few views to follow it. I need to get some cat 5 cables from my office to my workshop so I can setup a remote desk top and a hard connection to Syil X7.
Thanks Rob! Regarding the cables, you can try what I did. The workshop I am in does not have ethernet ports, so I purchased a WiFi range extender with a LAN port, plugged it in close to the machine and ran a cable between. Works fine and saved me running a 30m+ cable.
2:26 if you used a range extender, how did you actually connect the cnc to the network, did it automatically join the network? Even if the wireless network has a password?
@@Legendarybeatzonline Hey mate, the range extender that I used has a lan port, which meant I did not need to run a special ethernet port from my router to the machine.
