1:28 This is sick i need to learn that bridge guitar solo but i don't have no perfect pitch 😵 do you have a patron sir or something site that have a tabs on that bridge guitar solo
Your playing is great. Here is my question though. I have been invited to play gospel church standards and was given a list of songs to learn prior to rehearsal. Thus far I have not only encountered different keys which is easy I just create numbered chord charts regardless of the key I will know the chords within the harmonized major scale using triads and inversions on the first 3 strings. The problem I am running into is the standards in many cases are almost totally different songs on RU-vid guitar lessons with not only different keys and tempos but different progressions with some using cowboy chords, some major minor triads and others using 7th chords and in some cases extensions. What is up with that. I can't read people's minds. Therefore get ready for r we rehearsal is near futile. I find myself realizing that almost all the tutorials conflict in a variety of ways. Only this channel, you teach the material with soul, dynamics and groove which is missing in most of the others. Some versions are so sterile that it's as if the teacher doesn't want to get into the vibe because that is an example of experiencing pleasure while playing which is not allowed. In my opinion if it doesn't move people on an emotional level it has failed as a song and as an expression of gratitude and thanks. Remove the joy and remove the musical essence and you are simply making unpleasant noise. Your stuff is the polar opposite. Thank you
Thanks for the kind words, so I do understand where you're coming from and it's going to be a matter of assessing what kind of situation you're in. Is it a larger more professional type of church? In that case most likely they will play the song like the actual record and may have their own arrangements etc. If it's a much smaller church and kind of a rotating crew of musicians then it all comes down to the keyboard player and which version of whatever song he decides to play. I would be in contact with the keys player or MD so they can clarify exactly what they need you to learn. But from what I'm reading, it sounds like this is a small storefront type of church and you're going to have to just figure it out in rehersal. Don't stress.
Great song by Bobby Womack, I'm learning guitar and good to see how this song is played on guitar, for me to learn this song it would be helpful to have tabs etc but l will certainly listen by hear and rewind video as much as necessary Thanks Much GREAT Playing and your telecaster guitar looks real good, and great tone.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SjVBG6nktJY.html Rick Watford is killing it on this song. I’ve been trying to learn it for a while now. Got some of it, but he’s doing a lot on this one.
What an addictive lesson! I've played nothing else practically all week. I don't play a lot of R and B, still a redneck chicken picker but now I definitely want to explore more R and B songs! Thanks for the eye opener!
I really need to know that last part in more detail is there a way you can do a separate video about that or shoot me a message because I see you’re doing it in thirds but you’re also adding chromatics
