Hello.I have a small question.When shooting a flamethrower and a pistol.Yes.On the card it says.Flamethrower.Hit on slide and less and pistol.On 3 and less.Should I move.Every time I fire a flamethrower or a pistol.wheel aim? they don't write anything in the rules
Just picked this up for £11, which I hope was a bargain. I'll certainly head to BGG to check on the rules , especially at solo mode. Do you think its worth playing with one character then progressing to 3 as the designer suggests ? Pleased to find your channel
Took me till tonight over 2 years after getting game to play it as building aliens is a nightmare , enjoyed game but felt i was getting something wrong
@@TheBoardGameGuy ohhhh, I can’t let you off that easy! A quick google search search for the game’s title and “revised rulebook” takes you to a GaleForce9 link as well as boardgamegeek discussion with link to said document, posted Feb, ‘23.
Hello. I want to ask. In the manual it says. About cards in hand. But I know that only hicks have the ability to take cards on. And when I watched a few videos. So someone played as Ripley. And. And she. Si she put the cards in her hand, even if it is not written in the ability. Can each character have a heroic card in her hand. Or the dining room. Some. That is stated in the rules, right? Or in the overview. kkrok . That I can send out a soldier. Does it mean that every character. Can. Cards in the hand. Do I need a crow? or I'll take a card and look at it whether I want it or not
Not sure if you'd be up forit, but they redid the core and get away from her you B**** addon's rules and have shipped em out. I recently bought them myself :D Don't think things like Ultimate Basses needs to be updated according to the store I got them for ((they've been asked a few times already)), so that's atleast a bonus.
Watching this before I play my first game - very clear, thanks. Do you play the variant rule which allows TIE fighters to destroy rebel fleet markers from an adjacent sector with a roll of a 5 or 6 (or only that the Death Star can destroy the fleet markers)?
In one turn I can Repair an inoperable car. Move a different car in my stack and potentially shoot with that car all in one turn? Also, you can shoot twice in one turn? Bring out a chopper and shoot with it. Move your car and shoot again? Right or wrong?
Hello if I have actually 6 people playing would all 6 of us be playing as heroes? No one would really want to play as a grunt. then on each turn we'd pass the play token correct?
With 6 players you each play as the hero version of your chosen character, that is correct. At least in 1st edition. They recently printed a 2nd edition of the game, and I don't know what changes may have been made to the rules.
Damage tokens are shuffled back into the pile of available damage tokens, but Im pretty sure I remember hazard tiles go into a discard pile that is only reshuffled if necessary. Incidently, thru 12 plays we've never had to. I would also note that ONLY negative I can find in this great game is that the constant reshuffling of damage tokens gets tedious. I suppose it would be easier to use an old crown royal bag to draw tokens. However, the thing I don't like about cardboard in draw bags is that the pieces wear much quicker.
Great video, played a few games so far but wanted to make sure I wasn't getting anything wrong. I got a few things wrong. ;) Quick question though. At 24:55 You said that you can use a command dice to repair a car before you give a car an activation dice and then activate the repaired car. I can't find in the rules where it says this. Just looking for clarification thanks.
That’s actually been reversed by the publishers. They said that was the case on a rules forum thread on www.boardgamegeek.com but then changed their minds. You can repair a card with a command die, and then issue a move die to it on a subsequent turn during the same round, but you can’t repair then move on the same turn. I was going off out of date information that I didn’t realize was out of date.
@@TheBoardGameGuy I suspected as much. Just wanted to make sure. I have a new group of players I'm teaching and trying to get all the rules down. Thank you for the clarification. :D
Great video but of note is the 5 board rule only applies to a 2 player game. With 3+ players the road will go on indefinitely until one player’s cars are eliminated. Then the current lead tile becomes the final tile. That said, most games with 4 players don’t even make it to the third tile before a player dies.
When you're playing can you always go back to bear rock before the end of each turn is over? That's how my kids are playing and so the fish supply is never restocked
Thanks, it was great! We have a question regarding sticker vs story card effect: we got a story card that assigns a certain open agenda to its signer. This instruction is to take effect at the beginning of the next game (i.e. it has a star symbol). Then, if at the next game's legacy set up, a chronicle sticker assigns the exact same open agenda to another person, which effect will be prioritised: the sticker's or the story card's? Thank you!
On page 12, the rulebook says "Note: it is possible that a player was already assigned an Open Agenda while applying the effect of a Story Card (see page 10). In this case, the effect of the Story Card has priority, and the most recent Chronicle sticker is ignored for that Open Agenda." I hope that was the info you were looking for. Have a great game & a happy new year!
There's Star Wars Risk: Original Trilogy edition, Star Wars Risk: Clone Wars edition, and I can't remember the third. All much more standard Risk rethemes with Risj rules and Star Wars flavour.
