If you can get your whole family to move with you that is the best idea. We have friends who are a young family and everyone came: parents, in-laws, brothers with their families, the grandma... then they are able to enjoy life together and the brothers were able to start a business together and they have growing families. They have it made and they love it. In NB it is definitely harder to find people to fix things, work for renos, find things you need to buy but if you moved with a whole family or a bit of a community you would love it even more. Since it is hard to find people to work there is a lot of opportunity here. We met a family that moved here from Alberta and they are making things happen from dance lessons to tree clearing. Their business for trees and cranes is fast and efficient and they have all the tools and they are really upping how things get done. It's awesome. If you are a large animal vet for farms - they are in high, high, high demand. Homesteading is taking off here because people from Ontario can afford to live in the country and be more self sufficient by raising cattle, chickens etc. If you can, bring a community, for sure.
They were! And seems like Mateo is a rib connoisseur 😂because Pistol Pete's won for best ribs and best sauce at the Moncton Ribfest! Congrats to them! 🎉🥳
Hi Jenny, we currently live in Hamilton and are planning on moving to the east coast in the next two years. We are starting to scout where we'd like to live in the Maritime provinces and so far NB and the Moncton area is at the top of our list. One of our main concerns is that we do not speak French. How much of a hindrance is this? We've been noticing that a lot of job postings are asking for the applicants to be bilingual.
I moved to NB from ON. Now I have a South Florida home and NB home. No debt and chasing the endless summer. Next is small class A RV by the sea. Hmmm come to think about it, everything is by the sea.
I saw Caddy Shack in this cinema in the fall of 1980 while attending Mt A. And the afterwards we had pizza or meatball subs next door at (forget rhe name). Best meat ball subs ever!
I spent a standard school year at Mt Allison in 1980 at age 20. I spent my first 50 years in the GTA. Now I live in small town Sechelt BC. I went back to Thornhill twice, to see if i wanted to return home and each time it was a hard no. I have been in BC for 14 years and even though Thornhill is my home, and the nostalgia pulls at my heart sometimes, I love where I live now.
yeah right, like selling a house which was at 50K and you're selling it for 90K, you're the people who made this province so high cost of living that people can't afford, i would say to you good riddance
Cheap house to buy lol and low mortgage in NB compared to Ontario high wages high rent and you can't even save your down payment for a house in the GTA AREA and the outskirts of the GTA is still crazy.
Moved to southern NB 8 yrs ago. Never regretted it. Back into hunting, fishing and quad trails and don’t forget the sailing! Never going back. You have to realize that things are different. NBers work on their own t8me and I’m ok with that.
your video quality presentation is so amazing but do you know why your video is not getting the expected views? Your channel needs some updates to increase the view
Yes! Being a Realtor is definitely a fabulous and rewarding job because of all the wonderful people you meet along the way and the families we get the honour of helping. But as a Realtor, you definitely have to love your job because it’s not easy working 80+ hours a week including weekends and evenings and many times with guilt of missed family time. Our average home price is about $350k. So in NB, we have to sell about 3-4 homes to make the equivalent of what one home sells for, in bigger cities like Toronto. It’s fabulous to be a realtor in NB, but it also comes with a LOT of work and sacrifice and I could not be more grateful for my clients and people that have supported me on this path 😊🙏
Yes moved from niagara region to the country 25 mins from moncton. It will be almsot 2 years since we moved to NB. Yes there are pros and cons. Our kids love it and the most difficult part was leaving the whole family. We love our home and happy and thriving here. Xoxo. Its true ppl here in NB have no idea what living in Ontario is like lol
I would have an idea because I’m from the UK 🇬🇧 . I’ve been here in Fredericton for 24 years and I love it. Been all over Canada 🇨🇦 and I do I fact like Ontario 👍 but I Such a Maritimer now that I wouldn’t move love NB 👍
Hi Jack, unfortunately, like many other provinces in Canada, there is a shortage of physicians in New Brunswick to serve the patient population. We do have walk in clinics and hospitals and for those seeking a family physician, they can contact Patient Connect NB online or by phoning Tele-Care 811 to be placed on a waiting list. I always advise people moving here that may have ongoing health issues, to first try to connect with a doctor in NB before moving or to get a doctor referral from the province that they are moving from. Some of my clients have gotten a family doctor within the first 6 months of living here, while others are still waiting after 3 years.
@@JennyCelly sadly I had to flee Canada for speaking up about absolute medical fraud in Ontario.. can't even get healthcare and injured by police for speaking up about it.. good luck
My wife and I are looking seriously at moving to Fredericton from Calgary! Thanks for your wonderful insights. With car insurance, are the premiums you mention monthly or annually? Thank you!
I seen another video of yours. About what your family thought about living in New Brunswick after moving from Toronto. As someone who left Ontario for BC, and now In a relationship myself with a 15 year old. We have discovered living in BC Means bring cash. And well we are just tired of living paycheque to paycheque. So I’m looking for Videos on living in New Brunswick. But I’m curious as to why you and your family chose Moncton. My sister recently moved to Moncton with her family. And they love it. But I am looking more in Fredricton. Do you have any videos on that city. Mainly because I will be looking for work within the CFB Gagetown as a Civilian Cook. But I’m curious what are the differences between both Fredricton VS Moncton(sackville where you guys are)
Winters in Saint John NB are unpredictable. But in the past 20 years 1 in 5 is really bad. 2023-24 we had zero snow storms. The last really bad winter was 2013-14. That’s a long time ago. Is it more snow on average than Toronto probably, but when your mortgage payment is at least $1500/month less you can probably afford a snow blower or a plow, and a winter vacation.
I got a real chuckle with this family video! I grew up in Etobicoke for. School but in Bolton/Albion from age 5 on. We have lived in Thunder Bay for the past half century and we are at Amethyst Harbour right on the shore of Lake Superior… Our kids grew up in the country but stil in the city and they are still here with our 4 grandchildren …. Toronto? No thanks!
After 8 years I’ve never had a problem with health care. Emergency wait time are less than an hour unless there is a really big accident or unforeseen dilemma. Last t8me I went to emerge room in Ontario I walked out after 20 hours.
