That notch is AKA "The Chanin Dip," and is not a new thing. Many if not most natural shells and many manufactured shells have this although these shells have an exaggerated deeper and more obvious notch. These are not the first set of turtle shells available to the community; not even the second. There are 4 Ninja Turtles, so would need two sets (to add a 4th shell) to be faithful to the concept, or a way to explain why one is missing.
Most of what TCC create are not brand new ideas. The majority are existing ideas but reimagined for the TCC brand, which they produce to a fairly good quality. Maybe the other ninja title is out buying pizza? It was merely an idea to get people started. When we’re attempting to convince an audience we’re doing “magic”, the story doesn’t always have to follow logic (or fact) too strictly. It just needs to be entertaining.
You did an excellent job with this review of Bharat Patel’s Lie Detector. It’s quite difficult to properly describe what it does. I have one and it’s an extremely entertaining and mystifying effect. It’s an original without a doubt. Well done Scott!
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Do not try to melt the ring. That’s impossible. Instead try to realise the truth. There is no ring. Only then will you see the truth. It is not the ring that melts, it is yourself.
I whole-heartedly agree with your point about streaming instructions. In the old days, you'd get a DVD, so as part of your purchase, you would own the instructions too and, as you say, reference them any time. Streaming services/data issues/signal strength etc can all impact on the ability to stream - especially if the tutorial is a long one. In my view, if you buy an effect, you definitely should be able to download the tutorial.
Not only that - there are still people in the world who have capped internet data usage. Streaming video can use a lot of data. It’s elitist and makes magic inaccessible for anyone outside of “first world” countries.
@@EverythingMagicPro99 Agreed. I have some screen capture software, so I use that to ensure I have "my own copy" of a tutorial for an effect I have purchased, but this has to be recorded in 'real time' whereas downloading from the likes of Vimeo etc happens much more quickly, and doesn't prevent you from doing other things with your computer, too. I think, as you've said, if somebody buys an effect, they should easily be able to get their own copy of the tutorial, not rely on having to stream it when they want to view it.
I agree. I live on a boat. Internet is very sketchy. At work I can download most effects I've bought and watch them later. With streaming it's a nightmare. Previous phone could do video capture. New phone doesn't.
That’s true, there aren’t too many themed effects. My first thought was performing this at an art exhibition or some kind of art event. People seem to enjoy thinking of the names of the paintings and find the kicker amusing.
Isn't it great when you think a trick is bad and it surprises you? This is not the BEST trick you'll do but so far people I've performed it on found it fun. That’s a matter of routining. There’s a get ready, but the way I perform it ends clean. As with most effects - it requires some thought and shouldn’t necessarily be performed out of the box with stock patter. The trick, gimmick and effect are fantastic. If people don’t add their own ideas to make it work for themselves, that’s not the fault of the product.
Hi Scott. The gimmick is sleeping in one of my drawers because i cannot use this gimmick without flashing.. can you share a video of your performance with this trick please ? Have a great day
A bit of practice and I’m sure you’ll be able to do it without flashing. Just have to be brave with this one. I don’t have any recordings of performances. I perform at real events where I discourage people from filming as they’re not enjoying the magic if they’re experiencing it through a phone.
Bought this a while back and the gimmick came apart within a few mins of playing with it. I know it’s an easy fix but I never got around to it, this is making me want to fix it and give it another shot
Have to agree re acronyms. Cliches really suck big time! Having carped, I have to agree with Scott re the effect, it’s really so magical. I would prefer downloadable tutorials, but can live with it. You can always record the tutorial on your iPhone as you watch it if you need to keep it.
Too long didn’t read. It’s internet terminology for “a short explanation” or a short “summary”. Glad you enjoyed the review. I’ve been having lots of fun performing it.
Sorry but I wish you would stop using “TLDR” it’s starting to grate on me. It doesn’t make sense using it on every review and you use the acronym too many times in each review. “EDC” is starting to bug me on reviews as well. There should be a world wide ban on acronyms! Just say it in its full. Apart from that…..nice review. 😊
Lots of people like the TLDR. Unfortunately it’s impossible to please everyone. Running a RU-vid channel has taught me that no matter what I do people will complain, so I may as well create the videos in the style I want to create them. The amount of lies people create around my reviews is crazy. People I’ve never even met or spoken to talking absolute nonsense about me 😂
I LOVE this. It's been my favourite thing to perform lately. Purchase Tobias Dostal's Candyman directly from Theory11 here store.theory11.com/products/candyman
I don’t I’m afraid. I bought mine for a specific reason in mind and don’t have any resources on Devil’s Hank. There is the idea of Ring, Wallet, Watch, which is a great effect that sometimes uses a Devils Hank. Hopefully someone will see this and be more helpful than me.
Of course you need to be impressed because it was a free gift right. I hoped you would care more for originality. Really disappointed and surprised about that review.
Your comment is false and misguided. Everyone knows that when I’m sent something they run the risk of a negative review. That’s why 95% of magic producers don’t send me anything. They know I don’t do what you’re accusing me of.
I have since my comments above ordered the Shell Game. I have now seen the tutorial and it’s as Scott described it; just enough detail. It clearly shows what an advantage this version has and it’s a meaningful help. Postage is free and Scott’s additional 15% promo discount makes it a very good value purchase. About £33 all in. You know it makes sense!😊
Excellent review again. I have a few sets of the shell game. I think that this set would make the moves much easier. The other sets require a lot of practice!

I’m not sure it actually comes with any instructions 😅 I bought it a few years ago from your comment, so I don’t remember now. Email Tannens. I’m sure they’ll set you right.
I just wanted to say how grateful I am that there are channels like yours on this platform. I'm very much an amateur/hobbyist when it comes to magic and mentalism, but I come from an industry that tends to ere on the side of secrecy and like to gatekeep information from newcomers. Channels like this that actually talk candidly about the product and what you get are so important to letting people actually know what they're going to get. Thank you for making the content you do!
Thank you. It means a lot to know my videos really do help and people find them useful. Secrecy is important for some things but not with talking about props and products readily purchasable. I’m just creating the content for people that I wish I had when I was younger.
I have bought so many tricks from Murphy's magic ...just to know I have bought rubbish ...I don't buy from them eneymore.....I buy from other places ...cheaper and not rubbish
The price is for to high ...some countries must pay alot of money ...for a split minute trick ....remember some countries the dollor is 37 times or other countries 18 time more ...in other words if you living in South Africa you whould pay 1300 rand that's a lot of money for a splite minute trick ....that's why so times I buy magic trick from wish ,Tumi, and etc
Definitely a great opening effect. It took me two tries to craft a gimmick I was happy with. Sid recommends super glue however I found it’s a little overkill as there’s good quality paper glue that work really well. I don’t know about the UK but the matchbox he uses isn’t available in the US. To help Penguin has some templates that you can download to make boxes large enough for a stack of halves. Glad you liked it too.
The matchboxes are common in the UK but yes, templates should be available with all purchases of IGNIS. Did you make it for a stack of coins or something else? I like the idea of a sweet (to the give out) or a die that leads in to another effect.
@@EverythingMagicPro99 I made it for US half dollars and quarters using the template. The matchboxes I were readily available were shallower than the ones Sid used however they are perfect for sweets or a folded card.
I was pleasantly surprised by IGNIS. Support Sid's work on the project by picking up a copy here www.penguinmagic.com/p/20034 or at your favourite magic dealer.
That’s a shame if true. Whether a guarantee is offered or not, there is a legal obligation under consumer rights to replace products that break within an unreasonable time frame (usually 12 months). I’ve used mine quite a lot and it still works perfectly. Mine also has never made any noise like some people claim with theirs.
@@EverythingMagicPro99 I’m trusting you and picking this up then because I always wanted a r**l ring flight but couldn’t afford or find a good one that I can afford, this seems great
All I can say is mine has been and still is great after using it for months. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! If you do have any issues with it contact the shop you purchased it from within 12 months of purchase.
