Hey mate. Take a look at the yx190. Fuel injection is capable with the starndard manafold. 5 gears, oil out and in for cooler and/or turbo 👌. Later upgrades 4 valve head and 212cc bore kit 🤤. Looks like some Daytona parts fit yx190 🤷♂️
u can bore out the head to fit a 150 cc bike piston in it with 150cc carb since in our country its a normal thing (people do it for racing by boring it to fit a bigger piston in it)
Yo bro the same thing happend to my quad its becouse of valve float my damange was way worse i made a hole in the piston and a piece of the valve got in my exhaust . Becouse i had it in much higher revs when it failed on me .
Lower the sprocket ratio..stock 125cc engine ratio usually comes with 2.57..so its best to start with 15t upfront and 33t-30t back sprocket so 2.2 and lower ratio to keep it from redlining too much...im from malaysia so im used to working on those type of small cc engine from 100cc to 150cc..aftermarket heads and and cams and block would probably be a good idea too...if you're seriously bout getting more high end power on those engine I'd suggest make the exhaust manifold smaller like 28mm the limit is 30mm...and needs a back pressure too...the engine look more like an honda engine so i guess its running 55mm piston..ive built that engine alot so id usually build it with 56mm piston with highcammed on 24mm(exit)28mm(intake) cylinder head..and im making like 14-ish horsepower
the good thing about these motors is that I'm pretty sure that they use the same gearbox from bigger engines so this one can take the torque, also they are straight-cut gears so they are tough also, throw some stiffer springs on that, usually they are flimsy (it has the same issue that those predator 212s)
What went wromg? You bought a chines engine to cut costs! Buy Japanese. Buy once, cry once! Personally I would have bought a 2nd-hand 125cc Honda XR or similar for $200. Added binus? No ECUs! Happy trails,Cowpoke
It probably started floating. Either that or the chain stretched. The only way you ever break a valve is contact. BTW, your videos being my inspiration, im building my youngest son's old mini quad into a gigantic r/c drift car. Gonna have the body 3d printed by my little brother and im putting my sons old kx65 engine in it. The thing is gonna be a menace to society. I might put a FPV cam in it so i can rip around the neighborhood and chase coyotes and shit. Gonna be so rad.
My thought on what caused it is the timing on the engine if you retard it a little by turning the stator plate (if the engine has a adjustable stator) and will stop what some call valve bounce
Don’t lower the compression there about 9:1 factory . I have a turbo 125 pit bike and you definitely need to not rev it out that high stock without a valve spring upgrade. I’m making 3 psi on two step and 9 wide open with a blow through carb setup .
