First I am happy for you with MT10 between your legs. I however hold no desire to change from my 2022 model MT09. When I found the 09 I was in absolutely total awe. As a lifelong rider, you are always searching for that perfect bike. In the 09 it all came together at least for me. Very lightweight with good balanced side to side and decent riding position. More power than 80 percent of riders can use and it’s spread everywhere in rpm range. Got all the babysitter safety features anyone could ever need. A bargain basement price for what you get. You feel like you own the road when riding 09, no matter the situation. It is just plain wild and wicked to ride.
I agree! I have not posted at all in a while as I started a family and some other stuff but I still have the MT10 in my garage but I have since added another MT09. If I am going on the highway back and forth to work I will take the 10 but for playing around town and back roads the MT09 is a much more fun, functional, and practical bike with the power on tap regardless of gear and rpm.
Look man i ride like a squid all the time but gloves are a 100% must. You come off even at 30 and your hand will literally come off. Scrapes and broken bones can mend and leave no lasting impact. But losing a hand is life changing.
nobody of you do not tell in details how to use all options through display !!! in what each situation which mode and what else you need to tune in menu to ride comfort and with confidence!!!
The cross plane R1 engine is absolutely music to my ears! The fact the basically the same engine is on an upright bike… job well done Yamaha! Sucker sounds beautiful my man! 👍🤘👏 Is the quick shifter factory?
That was a issue for a little while but as soon as I got the bike tuned that all went away. It was restricted in the original tuning of the bike as to keep the front wheel on the ground
@@midnightt6991 mine is currently tuned by Dallas superbikes but I am looking at sending my ecu off to 2wheeldynoworks for a less aggressive tune because the bike currently is running very rich and pops and bangs on decel
@@Builtmoto that’s who mine is flashed by and I still have this “dead zone” in the throttle. I can’t even cruise because bike either falls flat on its face or it wants to accelerate.
It is with the DB killer out. I took it out before the exhaust was actually installed. The DB killer will leave the idle sound very similar but will make the bike much quieter when riding down the road.
wow 170 + hp sounds a bit too good.. i would expect you to get ard 155ish at the wheel at best - but hey it doesnt really matter what the number is as long as you are feeling the improvement and you are happy with the tune. Keep in mind though that yamaha claims abt 160 hp in the crank so usually at wheel there is abt 12% loss, so from 140 to 170 the gains are astronomical -
aesthetically,...not sure, but in the end of the day, you put that thing on for a reason and since you are the one riding the bike you get to call it lol. I know how it feels to go fast on a naked, esp on a windy day, and if you need to commute on your motorcycle for more than 30 min on highway speeds it takes a toll on you.
Hey mate, just got a 23 model mt09 thanks for the little how to on the dash 😅, silly question your side headlight covers in the Aqua look amazing did you buy them or get them painted ?
How long did it take to get it after pre-order. I'm going to try and get the 2024 model. Windscreen and seat will be first two mods. I like the looks of the Corbin gunfighter. It's got some thick cushioning. Expensive though
From the time I ordered until I received the bike was around 5 months but I had ordered as soon as Yamaha released that the SP was coming to the states. I believe I ordered in November of 2021
At least you are wearing some kind of gloves, they dont look like biker gloves and verry sturdy at all but you do you. I gues we will all know what happened once you wont upload anymore.
I have not heard of them or tried their products. The Yamaha screen has worked well for me but I also use a bell race star helmet so it is a bit more aerodynamic than most other helmets so the air that does hit my head is not as much of a issue
I like the MT10 with a low screen as it helps to keep me legal. However, if going on a tour I can see it being a great addition. I wish the lower half was opaque tapering to light smoke at the top and hiding all the mountings and post wash water marks you can't get to remove.
Just got a 23 MT10 SP, looks so much better than pre 22 models and my only gripe is Yamaha cheaped out and left the frame panels off the 22 and newer models but Pyramid has a kit with hardware to install with SP colors. Its not quite as fast as 2020 Tuono Factory 1100 I just sold but is a lot more comfortable, has plusher suspension and sounds as good or slightly better than V4 so no regrets with new bike!
175cm rider with 2022 SP here, tried yamaha genuine touring screen+ Puig sport + Puig touring and none of them works(loud wind buffeting), ended up reverting back to original mini screen...
@@Builtmoto wind buffeting isn't possible with the stock mini screen being so short and air flows basically directed to my stomach, did it create buffeting to you?
@@zheruihu6560 yes. That is why I got the touring screen and I have a helmet sock on the bottom of my helmet that does not allow air to flow up around my chin and ears and do not have the issue any longer. I got rid of the stock screen because of the amount of wind and road debris I was taking to the stomach and chest.
@@Builtmoto Not sure whether neck roll would solve the issue for me as the touring screen also directs blasting air right to my face shield (shoei xspr pro) and it almost feels like being hit by rubber mallet with a rythme😂
