It DOES last but it won't look good! My black grill is hanging on for dear life, it's chipped and faded, even using the latest ultra gloss or whatever it's called. Wheels still have some gloss but have tears.
Could you do a long-term review based on use this camping season? What kind of MPG hit and road noise did you get after install? Do you remove in the winter season?
I can say after almost a year that it's definitely worth it for budget. Does a good job..however a bit of road noise not crazy but noticeable and mpg took a hit around 1-2 mpg
Would have loved to have gone, haven't been able to go out at all, too nervous to do it alone. Only done rainbow basin trial in 2 yrs of owning my truck. Love the kids Mike
I understand how you felt about the trail. It’s fun at first but the second you hit certain parts you can drive more than 5-10 mph. It’s not until you hit flat pavement that you appreciate how flat it is.
Thanks for your opinion man! I’m thinking in the future of getting the Bilsteins lift kit set up. I don’t do much intense off-roading but I do want a better ride and extra clearance for the long run
Man me and my neighbor wrestled with it for like 30 minutes before calling it a night. Any secret to getting it lined up on those bolts easier? Plus they only sent me 2 relocation brackets unfortunately
If done right plastidip is a cheap inexpensive way to protect your car and also will last a long time.. Mine lasted 6 years and hardly any pealing. Just need to touch up and you're good.. HUGE TIP: Before you spray put the can in a bowl/bucket with hot water for 20 minutes prior for it to come out smooth and even.. It truly makes a big difference because my first few wheels I didn't and then watched a few videos and did the others and was happy I did.
Nice! There should be plenty of people on that trail to help if needed. But yea I've heard of that big boulder..but seen pic of people going through it no problem.
@@Michael_Tranthanks for the encouragement. I’ve been wanting to do this trail ever since i got my 4wd DCLB Tacoma in the summer of ‘22. Cheers Michael!
@@Michael_Tran The squeeze between the boulders was no problem. I didn't even hesitate. Crux comes afterwards with some decent sized icebergs to go over though. Rough trail overall, but at no time did i ever get out to take a second look at a line.
those new 200W solar panels appear to be light. I have some from Ecoflow and they are pretty damn heavy. do you have an idea of the exact weight of those solar panels? EDIT...found the value on their site. only 14lbs..that's impressive. my EcoFlow 220 one over 24lbs.
It can definitely run a home refrigerator- but only for a few hours But a portable fridge for camping can be powered off the 12v outlet for a long time - for a couple days or more. Jackery has a formula on their website to figure this stuff out but I can’t remember where exactly.
Thanks man..fyi...im currently wheeling in a 4x4 trd off road. My older videos are with my 2wd but most trails I've done in SoCal have been with my 2wd
I wonder if you can replace the raptor lights with the same ones you can buy for the V1 grille if one of them were to burn out. They look larger to me. are they the same size?
