Epic Snowstorm in Southern California - Lytle Creek Snow Wheeling Adventure

With the recent storm we been getting in SoCal. Our friends at ‪@4122inc‬ invited me to go see Lytle Creek as it's one of the area we been wanting to see especially if there's snow. #lytlecreek didn't disappoint us as soon as we got to the gate it #snow on us and continue getting heavier as the day goes on. We were pleasantly surprised as both of us really wanted to do true #snowwheeling before #winter ends here in #socal. We first hit up cold water canyon but with the ice and fresh powder we couldn't go past the creek. We decided to hit up the main trail and end up getting stuck a few time. Overall it made for a fun day #offroading in the snow.

I wanted to find some snow on Wednesday and do some snow wheeling. I got to the snow but decided against going solo so I went to the desert and enjoyed the weather. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

I can see why...I heard someone got stuck there until the next morning until someone pull them out. It's alway a good idea to go with someone especially given that we got this much snow recently.

Thanks for sharing Ive never done any offraod, i just my gx and i wanted to go up there… looks fun and yet intimidating… ill probaly going to go when the weather permits… dont want to get stranded😂 Any advice for beginners? Thanks, subbed

Hey bro...congratulations of the new ride! I would suggest first time off roading to go with someone and kinda learn from them if possible. If not start going to easy green sticker trail when it's dry. There's a lot of trails in SoCal that area really easy "fire road". I also suggest bringing recovery gear like a shovel, traction boards.

Do you feel like your long bed trd makes it harder to wheel? Being longer?

All the time...especially on tight narrow mountain passes...like Big Bear Pass. Shorter wheel base was more nimble around corners not so much my long bed haha

@@BrywolfGamer I agree...that's why I have one. I work out of my truck so I need that room for ladders and different tools and of course it helps with all my camping gears. This is my fun truck but also my work horse haha

I've always air down to around 15-20 psi but that day I think it was around 25 psi...if you have beadlock wheels you can air down even more

7:20 would your maxtrax help in this situation?

I think so...only issue with traction board in snow and icy situation is they will fling the boards underneath. I happen to us a few times. But it will help you get some tractions. We didn't get them out because the winch was just easier. You have to dig a bit too with traction board
