Thank you so much for your memories unfortunately I never got to ride one of the SRN fours but there is one left and it’s in the Portsmouth of a car museum. It doesn’t fly. It doesn’t have any engines but it is still there so I hope to go and visit that later this year.
It wasn't a brick works on Horrid Hill but a cement works that closed in 1913. The last vessel to dock at the Quay on Horrid Hill was the Dick Turpin which floundered and spilled it's cargo od Dundee marmalade jars.
This demonstrates the difficulty in restoring and maintaining major properties. Bath fixtures are difficult to return to like-new condition. Once fresh wood finishes show their ages: not a good thing for modern veneers.
Ham House is a popular film and TV location. You mentioned a few recent ones. It's featured in Horrible Histories and in the Four Musketeers ( the 1974 version ) by Richard Lester. It is relatively close to major film studios in and around London.
Duxford IWM is the most impressive museum I´ve ever seen. Went there with my dad before he passed away. He´s from 1925 so he lived very consciously through WW 2 in Belgium. Was great for him to see the planes who brought back so much memories for him. He saw a lot of them who were shot down.
Nice trip across the harbour. Funny that you mention no duty free. Reminds me of the 1987 general election and the 657 Party had a candidate for the Portsmouth south seat. Part of their manifesto was to make the Gosport ferry "Duty Free". They didn't win the seat but it would have been interesting if they had. Ha ha.

i went here last august with my family and two family friends and it was AWESOME!! there was enough space for everyone and the pool was so much fun, it was big, and there was lots to do at the resort
I think I’m balance if you can afford it, it is it gives you access to an extra lounge you get a different check-in and you get access to additional restaurants as well. Sometimes it’s a better room but not always
We've spent over £11k on our America holiday (not all on Disney), our first proper holiday as a family and I'm so glad I saw this. Going to get the accomodation changed immediately!
Brilliant video, having a trip down memory lane, we loved this hotel and food and staff were brilliant, there has been alot of changes (for the better) although it was amazing when we last went their, been their 3 times thanku for doing the video 👍👍we hope to go back sometime 🤞🤞👍👍😁
