I have a toyota tacoma 05 with 232k a 2011 Toyota Camry 220k and Toyota CHR 2021 with 60k miles that I bought brand new with 5miles. These vehicles haven't given zero big issues besides regular maintenance. Now I'm on the market for a Tundra, specifically a 2021. I'm staying away from the new Tundras!
Just bought my 2011 Tundra and love the classic feel no bells and whistles just a man’s truck… love my V8… she’s a keeper forever…such a reliable truck…
This whole video all I hear is bitching and moaning that you didn't buy the truck you want. If you didn't want the tundra you shouldn't have bought it. You know that dealerships do let you take long ass test drives. You didn't fall into a trap you just didn't think about your purchase. Stop complaining that you spent a lot of money on a reliable truck.
trucks more than any other types of vehicle is a purpose vehicle. if you want it for work, or for pleasure or for show or for commuting determines what size, engine, you should get
I owned a 2012 Platinum with 164, 000 miles when I sold it. Not one problem. I don't keep vehicles longer than 4 or 5 years so reliability isn't a concern when buying new but I only buy 3-4 year old trucks so I need to know it's going to last. I've rented trucks with all the bells and whistles. Blue tooth won't connect, lane departure crap sucks. I put my foot on the skinny pedal on the right and mash it. 🙂
ive had the 'pleasure' of owning both a Ford and Chevy and i can firmly say NEVER AGAIN. lets just face it, the german's and japanese make superior cars.
I don't care about fancy shit interior and all that crap, what I care about is reliability and a good motor no turbo bullshit. Love my 2021 Tundra TRD PRO best truck I ever bought hands down.
Tundra can last 3x longer than a Chevy or Ford and not rattle and clunk down the road even with high miles. I was a USA only person for over 40 years. The past 10 years I have bought 6 Toyota products. I like to have lots of vehicles at once. 3 are mine, 3 are for other people in my household.. They have been extremely reliable. My American vehicles always had issues
This guy just wants the all the new toys that comes with new trucks I'm good with the 2018 Toyota Tacoma. No need for news things that comes in new trucks I'm happy with what I have and my Toyota won't leave me park on the side of the road like I see ford dodge and Chevy.
You bought your Tundra for all the wrong reasons. Like you said, if you want reliability, you don't want to spend a fortune to keep it on the road, and you need it to last forever you buy a 2nd gen Tundra. If you want the bells and whistles which is what it sounds like you want you definitely go F-150. Just be prepared to spend $15-20K to keep it on the road for the first 150,000 miles like I did my F-150. By 100K I had to put $10,000 into my truck to replace all the warn out shitty parts in the front end, my turbos barrings went out, and had the alternator and starter go out before 100,000 so it was insane. Then, the turbos went out and axles broke at 140,000'ish and I sold the piece of shit as is, walked across the street to Toyota, and bought a Tundra in 2021. I wish to hell I had bought the Tundra the first time because I care about my money and the things I mentioned at the beginning. Good luck!
You want to know why Toyotas are more reliable and last longer than other vehicles? Because they focus on quality and reliability, not flashy gadgets and "upgrades" that often break. Why do they not get as good milage as other brands? Because they build their engines to last, not to be overworked to squeeze out power at the cost of reliability.
I totally agree my cousin is an asshole when it come to his Toyota fn products like God Bless Toyotas 😂😂😂😂.... ive done hours and hours of research on the Ram and read tons of comments ... my next truck is a Ram 🐏 hands down.
It is a great motor. Use it in the bay side here and never had a issue. It is strong enough to move you when the current is strong. Tried a 30lb and you notice the difference moving.
Most of us by a Toyota tundra for work and reliability I have a tundra 5.7 A WORK TRUCK my uncle has a Chevy 2015 two transmission so fare and countless other repairs my cousin has f150 v6 twin turbo and has two sets of cam phasers and timing chains done go ahead and get your other trucks me and all the other people who wanna actually drive our trucks will stick will true and tested the other trucks are money pits and nothing but fancy Cadillacs you want a Cadillac go buy a Cadillac you want a truck by a real truck and the tundras are not based off of a half ton platform they are based off of a 3/4 ton platform
It weird... I appreciate my 2021 Tundra even more now after reading these comments. I think you bought your tundra for the wrong reasons. Maybe you can do your own upgrade projects. Thats always an option.
I have an 08 Tundra w/ 218,000 miles. Zero problems. My 08 is a basic as basic can be. It's the first truck I ever bought, and I would not trade it on any truck other than a tundra. Fuck the new tech shit on other trucks. I'll take the reliability of a tundra over the new tech shit, and unreliability of other trucks any day.
My last two chevys cost me around 25k in repairs around the 100k mark combined. One an AFM engine in a sierra and the other a trans in a 2500hd. The list of things that broke by 100k including catastrophic failures is too long to list. I bought a tundra and so far 76k trouble free miles. I bought it used for 50k at 15k miles and towed around 3500lbs for the next 50k 5-6 days a week for my business. I genuinely feel like this truck will go 200k plus without a major failure. Does it lack the electric ball massager? Yes. Will it save me the heartache of major breakdowns and cost me thousands of dollars and downtime. Most likely
