This could be anything from thinking an anime is overrated to covering a series's most recent episode - it really depends on the day. Some videos are more comedic while others are more narrative-driven.

Haha only a bunch of kids that want Thorfin to be a killer and a soldier, the first season is only the prolog and shows his fall, the rest is about his redemption and wanting to never kill again. Season 2 is a masterpiece
I'm a year late to comment but whatever lmao First of all, I don't think you understand well enough of this scene if you said this stuff. In case you forgot, all those human-titans, even Falco, had transformed before in the Paradi port fighting the Jeagerists. So if they transform again here, they wouldn't have enough energy to fight Eren later on. Not to mention that they might die there. And Annie especially had stated that she had no will to fight anymore once she thought her father had died in Liberio. That was why Hanji said that she didn't want to waste more titan's power for this delaying mission. And yes, Hanji could make either Jean or Connie go, she was still the commander after all. But no, Hanji had seen enough deaths of her comrades, and she even killed some of the Survey Corps' new recruits who chased after her and Levi when they were on the run from the Jeagerists. Adding these all up with all the stress she had before the rumbling happened, I guess it was pretty understandable that she took this as a way to step down as a commander, as well as her last contribution for the Survey Corps. Just like what Hanji said, "As the one who lead you this far, I'm taking this responsibility." Hanji was not gonna sacrifice any of her comrades anymore. "She just wants to look cool" No, Hanji was scared af. You can clearly see it in her eyes. She was walking to her death and she knew it, and she was scared obviously. But she wouldn't want to show that to anyone, especially Levi who might stop her and crush her resolve. So she played it cool and in a comedic way as she usually was to tune down the tension. Levi understood this, that was why he said that 'goodbye' to Hanji. Did she really help delay the rumbling? Yes, even if it was just for some seconds maybe. Any second did matter in this crucial moment. By slaying 1 colossal titan, others behind it would collapse like a domino effect. And she slayed quite some of those wall-ass titans. At the end of the scene, Armin was the one who was shocked the most since he knew how it feels to be burned alive. Armin fighting 1 colossal titan that was Bertholdt, meanwhile Hanji fighting lots of colossal titans. You can only imagine the heat those titans emanating at once.
Fapta gets golden hair and suddenly becomes stronger. That sounds familiar to me. I'm interested to know if Nanachi is a boy or a girl. In the manga, it's sometimes he and sometimes she. In any case, I like the story, both manga and anime. Hopefully the anime won't be canceled.
I dont even care what rank it should be in MAL list. Okay, there were episodes that bored me and derived me to leave it. But i think it has a good storyline and main characters, Edward in particular. So clearly the anime was in top there for a long time for a reason

I have to disagree about Luffy not being OP right off the bat. At the beginning of the series they already had it where he was capable of beating all the pirate captains in the East Blue and even able to beat Crocodile, a freaking Warlord, after discovering he can be tangible with liquids. He came up with Gear 2 and 3 out of the blue with no preparation or training when they were heading to rescue Robin. He mastered a different higher form of Haki in like a week that was capable of damaging an Emperor like Kaido. Yes, he trained for it rigorously but Oda should’ve had it where it took him at least a month to do it. He also shrugs off potentially lethal injury like being stabbed with a searing hot spear like weapon through his side or stabbed through his chest by Crocodile’s giant ass hook like it’s nothing. But you’re right about the pacing. It’s awful and just drags for far too long. Also Luffy is not that great of a protagonist. He’s a typical shonen protagonist. Happy go lucky with intense plot armor and acting like he’s going to prevail no matter what and drawing all the other characters in with presence. However, in the case of Luffy I’ll admit that he’s the most annoying of all the protagonists so far with the exception of Eren.
the thing is she is way closer than armin? shes flying at basically point blank since she has to slash the titans, also her cape sparked and then ignited
My theory is that in Irumyuui’s heart, she wished to give birth and for there to be a cure for the disease she and the others caught from the pseudo-water at the same time. I think the Cradle of Desire somehow mashed these two wishes together and made Irumyuui’s children the cure, unfortunately.
Know what these monsters in the abyss were? They were people that were advanced beyond belief. Something horrible happened and now you have these monsters in all of these layers!!!! Every 2000 years, a whole civilization is destroyed!!!
Veuko is my favorite character and the best representation of love in the anime to me. Someone who has literally known only suffering finds overwhelming warmth in providing for someone else what was denied to her. "My warm darkness " is such a good line. With souls being a thing im still rooting that she will receive more blessings later.
Hearing about Vueko’s inability to stand up for herself, it actually makes me understand why she was happy that Irumyuui refused to forgive the others for killing her children and giving birth to Faputa to get revenge for them; She’s most likely relieved that after years of suffering, Irumyuui did what she couldn’t do; refuse to accept what was done to her and decide to do something about it.
I was honestly expecting amazing fights considering they have it as number 1, but every fight seemed the same. They use alchemy to build a wall to block stuff, or make the ground crumble, I was expecting them to make random weapons all the time to attack, now that would have been dope

Let me tell you something boy, the fact that it's being debated for it being best or not after all these years is a proof in itself how good it is. You also mentioned that it's mentioned that FMAB is still 3rd most popular in MAL but you find "public opinion" to be different. Just go and watch the reactor channels in youtube and every fucking anime reactors react to FMAB watching and it's very crucial to their channels' growth. I mean it's not the only factor but it has been very important factor. Personally, I am not much of anime fan but I do watch some good ones. I was introduced into anime mainly with Deathnote. When I discovered FMAB just few years back and I was already 30+ and yet since I discovered it and watched, I have watched it start to finish maybe 6 or 7 times, just in 2 to 3 years and I have watched both versions more than 6 or 7 times. And it's not only me, there are a lot. But since you like garbage storyline full of fillers, what can I say more! All the best for making a cash cow video to cover up your failure.
How in god’s name did you get a communist message from Vinland saga? That may be the dumbest conclusion I’ve heard in my life. And if you think pacifism implies dystopia I think that says a lot more about you than about Vinland Saga. Thorfinn will never allow someone to go free if they try and hurt someone Thorfinn cares about. He was willing to stand up to someone like Snake while UNARMED to save someone he didn’t even know. The only reason he let Drott wail on him because he was the ONLY one getting hurt. And yes being able to take 100 punches from someone with the nickname “bear killer” while slinging insults at him IS badass. If Thorfinn fought back that would have ruined his entire plan, say what you will about Vikings but they’ll stick to their word, Thorfinn knew better than anyone that they’d let him see Canute if he succeeded. I think you need to look at the title again if you think season 2 “isn’t Vinland Saga”. The whole goal is to create Vinland, not sail the European seas to r*pe and pillage. And it’s not like it comes out of nowhere, Ascheladd and Thors admit the Vikings are idiotic brutes that destroy everything they get their hands on. Thorfinn wasn’t depowered against Snake. He fought a warrior of Miklagard while unarmed, this warrior later went on to clown on the Jomsvikings, the strongest Vikings of all time. And he didn’t even really lose, he just failed to protect Gardar. He did all this while probably being rusty as hell btw, farmwork will build up muscle but it will dull your battle sense. Keep in mind Thorfinn would never have beaten Thorkell without Ascheladd’s help, plus he had his daggers for most of that fight. I won’t say what Ylva did to him was justified, but keep in mind he abandoned them for over a decade for a chance at revenge that every character including Thorfinn acknowledges was foolish. I’d say he deserved a smack or two. Frankly I’m surprised Helga wasn’t more pissed at him. Why would you be waiting for Thorfinn to go back to how he was? Sure it was badass to watch him mow down Vikings and soldiers but couldn’t you see what that was doing to him? He deserves better than that. Thors didn’t die because he refused to fight, he died because of Ascheladd’s underhanded tactics in taking Thorfinn hostage. Thors crippled half of Ascheladd’s army to defend the people he loved, he didn’t just sit back and say “ah it is what it is I guess, time to die.” And if you’re gonna say killing all of them would have stopped him from dying that’s not true. There’s no way they would have been able to escape the fjord without someone taking an arrow, even if all of the men in reach of Thors were dead. So Thors decided to take the fall himself and allow the people he was forced to drag into this conflict to escape. Possibly the most manly thing I’ve seen in anime. Overall this video is riddled with bad takes that miss the entire point of the show. If that’s not your cup of tea I completely understand, but saying it’s bad just because it’s not for you is ridiculous.
It’s not that it’s not good when it’s bad not action but it’s not good when there’s no action that’s why I think that the episode with Kanoot was the best in the season because it had the perfect balance
@@Apon_1010 the dialogue is incredible, the storytelling is incredible, the characters are incredible, all of it is amazing. no piece of media has made my grown ass cry more than watching thorfinn blossom into his true self and embrace his father’s ideology episode by episode. if you can’t look past the lack of action and see the incredible story unfolding before you regardless, then i pray you get better because you are missing out on something truly amazing.
I see now that some 1st season watcher does not like the 2nd season. And i'm disappointed. But who am i to judge? I think the 2nd season is better because it expand more about thorfinn character. After thorfinn only purpose in life died down (killing askeladd), the question next is literally what should thorfinn do next? It just doesnt make sense for thorfinn to just goes back to war... to just goes back to fighting, especially the fact that askeladd is already dead and canute punish thorfinn by making him a slave. That is why season 2 purpose is to answer the question of what should thorfinn do next?
Second of all: The one who complain about the lack of battle scene is only seeing the surface and not considering the character real battle. Thorfinn vs his sin and past Olma vs what is need to be a real man Canute vs the viking culture And other character battle... because you know why this battle is more important? Because in the end, Action scene is only a way to tell a story. A good action might entertain the eye but why the action happen... the context behind the action scene will enrich the action scene even more. Fine ill admit it lack action but in return it giving us something important. That is *the reason* why the character throw themselve in the battle.
Honestly... yeah, I'd say overrated fits well. And I'm aware that the word pops out a lot on the wave of reactive hate very popular anime create, so it kind of sounds annoying. Also it often feels more negative than what it is. In my case... I don't really care about the charts, although I naturally would like to see shows I find high quality in higher spots, or being present at all (I don't care on the long run but it's not like I don't get happy or frustrated on the moment xD). Oshi no Ko, to me, is overrated: meaning that it was a solid show, with a competent writing and directing that overshadowed a few flaws, a interesting setting good art/animation. It's just that nothing in it was above the level of "competent and nice". I had good time with it, the end xD (and yeah I was going to make the Perfect Blue comparison because I heard it a lot on internet: "it's like Oshi no Ko but darker" ... no. Just same setting, and honestly you can't compare them, if Oshi no Ko was put next to Perfect Blue it would probably self-combust and disappear from history. It's just an unfair challenge ^^). It's not forgettable, it's a good show, but personally on a bigger perspective of the pool of anime I watched in the long rund AND actually even in the shorter run I can find a lot of shows that are more memorable, well written/directed, even better looking, or a mix of all these (in these last years we had things like Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Heavenly Delusion, Heike Monogatari - why the hell nobody talks about that one?? - , few years earlier A place Farther than the Universe... etc)

I dont know I feel likes yes it makes sense someone like thorfinn could become a pacisfist and yes one king he knows from his story respecting it but in the long run it should not work but id does because of plot armor, I liked the aninme the way it showed that you can be strong as you want but time is the only one never losing either you lose to old age or you lose in battle nothing is safe and that is how the world is.
