Lot of times when i was small my parents would take the risk of booking the 3 farthest seats the window,aisle and then the seat next to the window or aisle unless the plane was severely overbooked no-one wanted the middle seat so u could get that for free
Make homemade toys or maracas from bottles, try to make your child and dog tired so they can sleep during the flight. Take a long leg space wala seat because it will be easy for dog.
Bassinet. Baby carrier for on the go napping. During take off and landing, it may help if baby drinks milk or has pacifier to ease ear pressure. All the best :) Journeys less than 8-9 hours will be easier than the 24+ hours flights. They usually sleep through
