I started my first business as an independent driving instructor called Toucan Driving a few years ago. I built it from the ground up to which it is now a very successful business.
My mission is to help anyone and everyone thats wants to learn to drive or to become the best driving instructor they can.
My instructor said I was in his opinion test ready as long as I could control my nerves and only I could see to that. I had a session of hypnotherapy with my physio for driving test nerves and driving confidence and do feel it helped me. Lesson pre test was grim but once I met my examiner I was fine and suddenly became so calm thinking I can do this. I did get the nicest examiner, so friendly and put me at ease, we chatted loads, even a few jokes. I did some commentary driving when we were not chatting and he said the examiners love that. Never thought I’d pass first time but I did and just 3 minors, found the test easier than my mocks (failed all 3)
@@JoshRamwell Thanks, I was so pleased with how the actual test went as I’d been so anxious in the build up to it. Did have 4 x 2hr lessons the week before which boosted my confidence but I was always 50/50 if I’d pass and couldn’t believe it when I did (took me a few months to realise I had driven well and passed!)
I failed on this today, was outside of the bay, so so so gutted, everything else was ok, failed in the test center car park too, right at the end of the test!
My stomach does summersalts before every driving lesson once I'm in the car I'm fine more confident now at roundabouts don't make scary noises anymore no lt long till my driving test by the time my test I've done 60 hours it's been a long journey
@@leegreen287 I agree it's not nice. Just say most of the tyres. So 1.6mm on most of the tyre or just 3/4 of tyre. They will pass you regardless of what you say as long as you remember 1.6mm
Commenting whilst doing your test really helps not just you but puts the examiner at ease as well. I did that and passed. I even went the wrong way right at the start of my test due to nerves. The examiner said I'd just made it harder for myself. I coped & didn't dwell on it.
Thanks Angela! It really helps a d if anything you are far more likely to pass. I had a girl commentary driving on a test stall 4 times during the test and still passed. 😂
If you bring the clutch up to the biting point with your heel on the floor, the clutch pedal could spring up quick making the car stall. The best way is to slightly raise your heel off the floor when bringing the clutch up and this way you can push against the clutch giving you more control of the clutch rather than the clutch forcing your foot up.
I've got my test on the 1st of October 2024, and I have not stopped being anxious, but I have confidence since my mum has let me practice in her car for the past couple of months (plus 70+hours with a instructor) but I know I will leave room for failure and accept if I have a bad day its OK..but obviously I would really like to pass 1st time
Biggest piece of advice.... Don't just assume it's clear to go on green without looking first, especially in the first three seconds or so, and especially if you're the first to go. Defensive driving saves lives.
I have my second test in 4 days, I failed the first one just as I didn't stop quick enough while I was reversing into a parking space and someone drove past the front of my car (ouch lol) but I have high hopes I will pass as the first test taught me a lot :D
The way she parallel parked would fail on the actual driving test though. The observations were poor, supposed to look all around including blind spots throughout the whole manoeuvre.
Top Man... I watched this video an hour before my test while I was nervous about the test but in the end I passed it . This video helped me a lot to understand the examiner's side. Huge respect for this guy. Keep up the good work 💯
I don't know what it was like being in the car and what was going on but if someone says use the right lane to me that probably would cause me to fail because there's not enough description there in fact there is a conflict use the right line as in the literal right lane or use the right lane as in you should know the right lane to use and you should use that one but also someone says it you assume that you're in the wrong lane so cross
I hope the speed limiters will be fitted to the countries biggest law breakers, the police, no more speeding to get their doughnuts the useless pricks.
