Speaking words of wisdom there. I wasn't nervous at all for my test as I knew I was ready. I passed first time last November with 4 minors

I don't like talking at all when driving, when talking I switch off to where I'm supposed to be going, I still drive safely, but it's like a mystery tour, normally tell passengers we are taking the scenic route if I miss turnings 😂

I passed last year and my examiner was so friendly and chatty it really helped me. We were chatting about work, local area, test delays, roadworks (a big time issue in test centre area) I did say I might do commentary driving and he said examiners love candidates doing that. I remember saying to the examiner I’d usually be doing about 55mph on the national speed limit road but due to roadworks couldn’t get past 45mph, but still passed.

I passed but my anxiety is not controlled so i feel like a bad driver. I cant be on the road being this nervous surely but you have to drive to get better. "Practice in a quiet spot" but i have to get to the quiet spot. "Just drive" im shaking too much and have no self belief or confidence. I dont trust myself. Overthinking is not fun.
