I can't imagine that 2023 is still need to put your hand and under the knife to stablize paper. How many accident for this work and so many finger cut off by this machine. Stupid design. Why don't make a tray to let the paper on it and do the all paper align works outside the machine? Just push it back to the machine, and don't need to set up in machine cutting area. So angry for all of triming paper machine. Many method to design this machine, like tilt the cutting bed. Or protrait the paper before and push the paper inside, than the knife can set it at the bottom. Set a camera insid and do red line alignment.
I'm a beginner cutting with the Polar 137 HD. It's a great cutting machine. Any tips on how to set up a program to cut book or brochure covers that will go to the perfect binder or muller machines. These jobs are trickier to cut since you have to cut away from the trim lines. Can you do a tip video based on this?
ihr stellt an der exenterschraube rechts wenn das messe unten ist? steht so gar nicht in unserer Anleitung. zieht ihr die Schrauben mit nen Drehmoment fest wenn ja wie viel?
@@POLARMOHR danke für die Antwort. aber welche Baujahr ist das denn möglich? wir haben eine 2004er 115xt. ist der Drehmoment auch bei einer 78xs so für die Messerschrauben?
@@cappusven Das Drehmoment ist für die 78-176 bei 70 Nm. Das ist auch für die älteren Modelle der richtige Wert. Hauptsächlich geht es darum, zu verhindern, dass manche Bediener die Schrauben mit deutlich zuviel Drehmoment anziehen.
@octochrome. I have used Polar's earliest Eltrotact "P" (pulse) and "S" (sensor) systems on their CE tape control machines. Then on the following generations of EMC I & II , EMC Monitor and ED cutters. The easiest system to program and the best to use! The graphics on this touch screen are excellent.
@@markmiwurdz202 I have used the EM & EMC monitor a while back, I am currently working on 115X at my workplace but I have used XT & N Guillotines, even had the pleasure of operating the SC-21 for 5 years 👍 I love Polar ❤️
@octochrome. Thanks for your reply. The Polar sales guy that used to visit one of the companies I worked at told me this. He said that at one time every other paper cutter/guillotine sold worldwide was a Polar. So that means that Wohlenberg, Schneider, Perfecta, Como, Itoh etc. etc. together fought for "the other one"! Not only are Polar Mohr excellent machine engineers, they listen to the operators, fulfil the customer's needs and thereby lead the marketplace! Stay safe and well.
Yes, it takes a lot more time to do all cuts behind the knife. Some knife grinders are able to grind a kind of a curve on the tip of the blade which makes the cut quality in front of the knife a bit cleaner.
The cutting width of your cutter/guillotine should always be more than the longest dimension of your maximum sheet/printing size. The longest dimension is the diagonal length. So with format 75 x 105cm. the diagonal is 129cm. which is turned easily under the knife of the 137 cutter. With the 115 cutter, the pile of material has to be pulled forward and turned on the front table. N.B. The Polar 92cm. cutter would allow format 52 x 72cm (diagonal = 88cm) to be turned under the knife.However, most modern printing presses have 120cm. pile height at the delivery. So the Polar 115 with 15cm. clamp opening would be better than the 92cm. cutter with 10cm. clamp - i.e. eight loads of 15cm. on the 115 vs. twelve loads of 10cm. on the 92. The operator loads the cutter less times.
Yes that is correct. That is the reason for having the 78 and 92 for the B2 sheet size 50 x 70 cm (diagonal 88 cm) and the 115 and 137 for the B1 sheet size 70 x 100 cm (diagonal 122 cm). The smaller cutter will do the job but the larger one would give you a lot more productivity by enabelling you to turn the sheets underneath the knife without pulling it onto the front table. To calculate the diagonal for your individual sheet size you can simply use this formula √a² + b².
Noch einfacher ist es, einmal kurz die Schneidtasten drücken. Bei unterbrochenem Schnitt reagiert der Pressbalken genauso. Beim Ausbau des Abdeckbleches immer den Mittleren Stift als letztes. Sonst hängt das Blech schräg und wird ganz am Rand gehalten, was die Pins nicht lange überleben.
Kann ich nicht bestätigen, die Lösung ist nicht ganz ungefährlich fürs material. Gerade wenn etwas hängen bleibt oder schlecht/knapp getimet ist was an den Einstellungen der Maschine liegen kann. Die Messerwechselfunktion war schon immer am besten dafür geeignet. Bei älteren Maschinen musst man auch nur eine Klappe öffnen bzw. die Pressbalkenverstellung herausziehen, den Balken manuell nach unten lassen und die Tipp Funktion des Pressbalken war aktiv. Easy! Heute sind es halt drei Klicks in der Software an die man sich erst mal wieder erinnern muss 😜 Noch besser ist die Option, in der man das Abdeckblech gar nicht mehr ausbauen muss, da der Sattel ohne Abdrücke maximal nach vorne fahren kann. Hat nur kaum wer, und ich weiß leider auch nicht wie diese Option heißt....
Ich glaube du hast das falsch verstanden. Bei unterbrochenem Schnitt kann man den Pressbalken an beliebiger Stelle stehen lassen. Genau wie bei der Messerwechselvariante. Ist schneller und hat den gleichen Effekt. Mit dem Material hat das nix zu tun

Ich hab nur schon zu viel(e) erlebt um zu wissen das eine Person das hinbekommt, im Team immer jemanden ist, der das nicht gebacken bekommt. Und dann ist entweder das Messer, der Bolzen, das Abdeckblech oder alle drei Sachen hin. Das sind meistens auch die Leute, denen Du mit einem Tesastreifen am Anleger markierst wie weit Sie einlegen dürfen bevor die Maschine stoppt. Aber ohne die werten Kollegen wäre es langweilig, wa... 👌😂
You can put clamp bar inside with press of the pedal...first u set the machine to dimension of false clamp. You need a marking or two on false clamp which align with backgauge, then u press pedal to lover the clamp on false clamp. Before you release the pedal, you need to move backgauge a little bit back so clamp doesn't scratch backgauge. The easiest way to do it.
Yes, and if you get it wrong you will bring the clamp down on the false clamp plate and bend the holding pins. A replacement false clamp plate is expensive and takes time for a Polar technician to fit correctly. In my experience, on every Polar cutter that I have used, the false clamp plate has had a number stamped on it. This was always the last two digits of the main machine number. So the false clamp plate is individually adjusted/set at the factory to fit that specific machine. Wimps working safety guards. I used a 1914/1916 cutter that was converted sometime in the 1940s. You guys and your automation. I could cut within a human hair but haven't touched a cutter in 6 years.
