I should've seen this coming, but I didn't. I still can not believe I was here to see it happening LIVE! 1:42:30 It has been a while since I laughed so hard!🤣 Thank you for the awesome stream, and this amazing hang-out between you, Grian, Bdubs, Gem and Tango.
How does this awesome content creator not have more subscribers?!?! Fans of Skizz need to put the word out. This is me doing my part. I gotta support my local Arizona boy.
Skizz, i want to point out that you setting down a bed and telling bdubs to "do the honors" really is cementing your role is Assistant To The sleep master.
Skizz, thank you so much for your kind words at 48:42 about the wedding!!!! I had to leave during the stream right after that, so i didn't get the chance to thank you there. But it means a lot, and i think i needed that clarity that the wedding doesnt have to be perfect, and its about us and thats whats important. Ive worked so hard this past year to get everything and everyone sorted out without coming off as a bridezilla (which somehow i managed), that i think i lost sight of the most important part of this, so thank you from the bottom of my heart
Wishing you the best of luck on your battle with your insurance company. I have a friend who almost became BLIND because their insurance company denied the doctor's request for an urgent, time-sensitive surgery that would repair the damage to her eyes. They wanted to postpone the surgery until a date that would be too late to save her vision. The doctor literally had to LIE and falsify information on the insurance claim just to save her from entirely preventable full loss of vision. Insurance should not be a for-profit system.
Can someone please explain the birthday thing Skizz and Impulse do? I am absolutely failing to understand why some random baby voice saying unadulterated nonsense, being lip synced to by a grown adult man, is something so many people go nuts for. Also, the heck is Ruber???? Gem asked and they just giggled like schoolchildren, immediately I googled it and came up with absolutely nothing. Why are these things funny? Like genuinely. What is the point.
Birthday clip is Skizz’s niece from a long time ago. The context is she was singing happy birthday and in the middle of singing had an epiphany that she didn’t understand why we celebrate birthdays. Imp and Skizz have played the clip for a long time because it is cute. It is funny because a child is kinda pointing out what we all choose to ignore, celebrating birthdays is kinda pointless. Skizz always acts out her face (exaggerated) when he plays it. Why is it funny to Skizz’a audience and people go crazy for it? For the same reason friend groups have all kinds of inside jokes. Life is lived together and shared/common experiences become a kind of short hand to everyone involved. Ironically those shorthands become a kind of experience in and of themselves perpetuating the connection of those who are on the inside. Stick around long enough and those shared experiences will likely become yours too and then you’ll be on the inside of the “joke”.
Since birthday youyo has been explained I'll answer your other question about ruber. Ruber is from a spelling mistake Skizz did when he was trying to type rubber. I forget which stream it's from but Skizz was helping Tango collect some hoglins for a farm and they were arguing (playfully) so Skizz wrote a sign for Tango. You can see a bit of it in the episode where Skizz accidentally recorded some of his episode with the face cam on about a month ago.
What's happening is Scar didn't think blocking the Evoker's line of sight with glass was a better idea than how he currently has it set up. Since Vexes will persist until one of two things happens--the first is your aim _isn't_ terrible, and you managed to kill them all outside of the Evoker's aggro range (it immediately summons more if you're too close!) Second is to just kill the Evoker itself because they are the source of 'magic' powering the summoned Vexes. Scar _wanted_ the Vexes. Scar's idea isn't inherently bad, it's just the mob ai was never going to cooperate as well as he hoped. -Which may be part of the gag here, but sometimes that much is difficult to be totally certain of... Especially when 'death loop' meltdowns like this happen.-
Listening to you or Scar talking about the American healthcare system is like watching an episode of Last Week Tonight - it both makes me sad for humanity, but glad I don't live in that crazy country D:
After watching the latest phasmo videos for the past two years, I needed to find a new video. It’s funny seeing how different the streams are and the reactions.
I have this conversation all the time. America has the best health care PROVIDERS anywhere. They're amazing. Almost without fail, they want to do the best by their patients. The INSURANCE companies ruin everything. Costs would be dramatically reduced if offices and hospitals didn't have to double their staff to handle the administrative disaster that is "insurance" companies.
Glad as always that the vods are uploaded quickly, between the vods and podcast episodes I have hours worth of listening while I embroider! I look forward to hearing all the things you've gotten up to this time :)
39:45 I used to have Mr. Huph's scenes memorized back then. If I'm remembering the first scene, it goes something like... "I don't want to hear about their coverage, Bob! Don't talk to me about coverage! Tell me how YOU'RE keeping Insuricare in the Black! Tell me how that's possible with every Harry Hardluck and Sally Sobstory THAT GIVES YOU A PHONE CALL!!!" Regardless, hate to hear that that's what you're dealing with, Skizz. Best of luck.
Wishing you the best of luck (and patience) with the insurance company. I know that fight all to well - it's frustrating and borderline insulting at points. And of course, thanks for uploading the vod so quickly! Glad I can come watch all the bits I missed live
I was wondering how you'd gotten that far into the VOD fast enough to comment when it said uploaded 18min ago on my end, (and I'm watching in 2x speed like I do with all long VODs) but then I realized you could have seen the stream on Twitch. A close family member of mine is a care manager in a hospital, so I hear stories like this one a lot. With a similar degree of not-naming-any-names because of HIPAA and all that.
Yep, I'm usually at work when Skizz streams so I hop in-and-out when he's live! And I can only imagine how many similar (and worse) stories are out there, especially with HIPAA 😪 @@dbseamz
'Course people didn't know about the Palpatine thing when the first of the prequel movies came out. Lots of those who watched the films have never touched even one of the Star Wars books, canon or expanded universe. Many could be argued to have been too young, even within the Millennial generation itself--you've got to consider that while anyone qualified to call themselves that would probably have been old enough to watch the films with their parents, not many of these same parents necessarily saw the point in the books for kids in, say, second grade of elementary school? Many of the generation before the official generational cut-off date were younger than that, even. In saying all this, the "shoulda read the book" thing is very much a more recent phenomena thanks to internet discourse (also more recent, lbr) giving a bigger platform to voice that attitude. What with people liking that they can hate, and rip on the limitations of film making. What do many think of the scope of a movie's allotted length, never mind budget? No one sits through the longest known movies without a break, or two; doable, but very unreasonable for the body. I _also_ prefer books, and really dislike when it is obvious someone was handed a script they know absolutely nothing about, and worse--don't care to research, or learn. I'm not about to say that I haven't ripped on movies I know cut corners, too, but I can't really say that it matters all that much. Not really. 🤷
What I don’t understand of Skizz from the past, is why killing the bird was important 😅 Why try to kill a bird that already killed you when the bird-killing gear has been lost lol
Okay, your roller skate idea is amazing. Even better, I daresay, than enchanted Minecraft boats. They would make you a lot slower on stairs and on uneven terrain like the campsites, but a lot faster on flat surfaces. Tier 1 could be those old-fashioned strap-on skates that you put over your shoes, tier 2 would be standard quad-wheel skates, and tier 3 would be speedy-looking in-lines. Every tier improved would decrease the chance of stumbling, and tier 3 would also add an extra speed boost. A skateboard would also work. You could realistically unequip and reequip that a lot faster than you could a pair of skates, but it would take up one of your hand slots if you wanted to bring the skateboard somewhere without riding it (such as up a flight of stairs). Using a skateboard or a pair of skates would make noise that the ghost could hear (with higher tier wheels being quieter) to balance out the advantage of having a quick getaway during a hunt.
Its hurts me watching them play without knowing anything😂 Tips: - The door has a % pressure. When it’s closed the % goes down and when it reach 0 it opens. - Don’t talk inside the ship at evening because monsters can get inside the ship
