Mysterious Magpie is a collection of radio programmes on a dark and atmospheric theme. There are lots and lots of ghost stories, but also tales of murder and mystery and horror, dark psychological thrillers and ominous costume dramas...
The first line of the description (and a comment below) says as much, and names and recommends the channel where it was originally posted. But my copy of this is so old that I probably just recorded the audio in real time, no need to complicate things with downloads and conversions.
@mysteriousmagpie fair play,I apologise if I came across negative thar was not my intention.A very good upload to be fair as videos as you know, are taken down all the time and I appreciate your upload.
@@Briangibson7825 Thank you, and not at all. My original intention was to try and create a library that gathered as many of these things in one place as possible - though inevitably some of these things do come from somebody else's effort at digitising and uploading, so you're right and it's definitely appropriate to acknowledge that wherever possible. Sadly, while most of my uploads are from my own recordings, I have been collecting stuff shared online for a long time and for most of that I didn't think to make a note of where the recordings originated, so I have to plead honourable intentions on those.
Thank you for the uploads. All of these are great quality radio dramas. Back when ARTS & CULTURE were CONSIDERED COMMUNITY INVESTMENT! 🐛Storytelling is how we learn to expand & know of ourselves.🦋 Reading & writing teaches us to connect BODY WITH COMMUNICATION TOOLS❣️🖤📝📖📚🖍️✏️🖊️✒️🖌️🌐🚸
Very...very.. very.......... but.. could do with a wee bit "o "treble" in the sound dept..... (for us who make use of ear-phones of average quality due to "monetarial" constraints).!
Try using the EQ in SETTINGS on your own device to personalize your experience. There usually is a pre-set option called “spoken word” or “treble boost”. Cheers.
It's totally unrealistic. The guy on the phone sounds like he's the weirdo from hell, yet she does nothing about it; unbelievable; and the fact that it's set in the USA, makes it doubly so.
There's a relatively recent adaptation of 'The Signalman' (from a company called Bafflegab) that had the brilliant idea of having the stranger who meets the signalman be the director of a Railway Safety Information Film - worth a listen, though I'm afraid it won't be appearing on this channel as it's still commercially available.
Looking at the world today..namely the Unites States and UK, this rings an alarm bell. Start to pillorise people for their race, religion, gender, sexuality, for what they read, believe in etc and democracy falls
Glad to hear it - I was half expecting to get complaints... but rather tellingly, the ones I've reposted so far have all had more views in a few days than the original postings tended to get in over a year. Starting with the least-viewed videos there's a lot that I plan to re-post...
