There’s many filter types on the 3m chart that say “organic vapor” are those all good for spray painting? I’d like the one that’s good against isocyanates found in 2k paint
@nitzaramirez7063 no you don't, lowes or home depot don't carry tongue and groove in 16' also home depot sells their 12' for $13 when lowes sells theirs for $3 more, trust me I've looked
Thanks, I know it looks hard but our method is the quickest and easiest wasy you can do this, spray the stain on the surface first and than have someone back brush it for you, it goes really smoothly and done in no time
This is absolutely the best 1k product I have ever used. I sprayed gallons and gallons of it. It’s easy to use super long pot life, self-leveling and lays out like glass.
Quick question my friend, have you used flat tips either on this Graco or you Titan AAA Guns? If so, is there a big difference in performance between both tip types?....overspray, finish quality etc?? Thanks!
Yes because with the flat tips you have more control over the fan size and pressure, its a big difference and I highly recommended when doing cabinets, just make sure you always strain your paint before running it throught
@@duartepaintinghandymanservices Thanks, now I was watching another video where you're using your GM3600 gun and noticed you are using the flat tip on that one. Big price difference on tip costs but I trust your feedback.
Thanks, I see you use a Graco G15 gun….isn’t 1800 passed the max pressure the gun can handle (1,500) or that goes below 1,500 after you trigger ?@@duartepaintinghandymanservices
@@duartepaintinghandymanservices Oh, my mistake then…I thought it was a G15 not a G40 which I know can handle up to 4000…..Did you have a G15 before or am I crazy? 😂
Thank you !!! I just bought one mask and got mad when i read " Mask side BS" I have a question , can you tell me is 95 filter will peotect when sanding chlor was heavily applied on wooden deck ?
Yes but ideally you would want to use a whole face protection since those chemicals can acces your body through your eyes but yes it should do the job, just wear eye protection and if you can hook up the sander to a vacuum that would also help alot, good luck in your project
With the new primers water born urethane is the way to go. I used bin shellac in the past but not it’s overkill. The strong odor and the risk of an explosion iota not worth it. Try stix
If thats what you prefer that's great, we use shellac because of the drying and cure time, we also use explosion proof fans and seal the areas we're working in, no smell the day after
oil or water or laquer ?? and FF tip ??? I'm curious because like with emerald I usually use a 310 FF , never tried a 308 with a "water based" type paint , I always thought it might be too small ...... sidenote , I just sold my Graco 495 , for the same price I bought it for 5 years ago !!!!! How crazy is that !!!!!! (I keep my tools very clean) , and yes "now I have to go buy a new one" , I'm sure I'll get sticker shock , probably gonna run a good $1800 nowdays ..... paid $1400 for my old one
This is actually chemcraft aquaset is a waterbase lacquer, I don't like going any smaller than a 308 to tell you the truth is more forgiven than a smaller tip, are you planning on buying another 495 or upgrading to a larger unit?
I used this respirator and the prefilter with the lettering on the outside, not the correct side, so I am wondering how much effectiveness I lost using the prefilter the wrong side out?
I'm pretty sure it still worked but just not as efficient, remember you're still protected with the charcoal, the particle filter just makes it last a bit longer and gets those big particles before they go through the charcoal.
I have a 660 that I got for like $50 just because I believe it just wore out and the guy didn’t know how to get parts, or which ones. I always just assumed that the older titan pumps might be mostly the same fluid section because of the Tetris block looking upper fluid section. You proved that essentially that is correct. Hard part is…I won’t blame your video, but it might be why so many of the older 440s and parts are gone. Especially the ones that have the ball and cage set in the pickup. It’s been a few years but I’m hoping you have found some other solutions other than machining some spacer plate and dealing with the offset mounting screws for the new fluid section. For some reason I really want to put this thing back up to 100 percent! The motor in there is still super strong.
Couple of weeks ago I got rid of my last 440xc pump, all the other ones got sold, those were my starting pumps and they helped me get where I'm at today.
Lol, paints no good for the lungs, we also don't require customers to remove all their belongings from the boxes, we just ask them to give us couple of inches around in order to mask, this makes their life much easier, we also leave the boxes for last which usually takes us couple of days to finish spraying, third day is removal and installation of all doors and drawer fronts
@@duartepaintinghandymanservices just a joke , I know the process of spraying cabs ..... and I wasn't talking about YOU "having to wear a mask" I was joking about THE CABINETS "wearing a mask" (being masked off) , it was just a joke ...... I know about the paint fumes .... and you do a very good job masking off those cabs , masking isn't my strong point .... probably because I hate masking !!!!! lol
