I'm sure that ceiling came out great , you took extra care to avoid paint lines ..... smooth ceiling , and they must have wanted a sheened ceiling paint like satin or s gloss because seems to me , dead flat could just be sprayed , and really brushed and rolled in the time it took to mask everything off
The plastic was their before when we took down the popcorn texture off, so there was no extra time besides putting a fresh piece of paper on the top where it meets the wall since we did put a fresh bead of caulk, the paint is dead flat, but the first primer coat was sprayed and bankrolled for adhesion purposes, than I sprayed a first coat and the final second coat was sprayed and backrolled. The ceilings were smooth but still had imperfections so backrolling them would give it a bit of a light texture as to cover some of those small things, overall the customer was satisfied and impressed on how fast we got it done. Messy work popcorn removal, prep is key
