This is where we chat about stitchy things! Predominantly a cross stitch channel (Flosstube) on occasion we will also chat quilting, embroidery, and appliqué. Welcome to my channel! I am glad you are here.
I now have a Buy Me a Coffee button! It can be found in the "Stitchy Goodness Fund" link below. Thank you so much for your support!
Everything is stunning. Your stitching and OH MY WORD, the fabric you dyed!!! So Delicious girl!!! Are you doing the Jingle Ball? I'm on the fence. I sort of just stalk the rooms because I'm a bit uncomfortable sharing in large groups. ❤
Your ABC seasonal Little House Needleworks pieces could be mounted on foamcore or mat board then attached to a fabric covered foamcore framing piece. Then attach washers to the back. Get a simple framed board of the right size and glue magnets to the inside. Now each season can be swapped into the same framing piece. Such long pieces should probably have 3 washers on the back.
Happy un-flossaversary!! 🎉😂 As usual, I'm still about 4 weeks behind on the flosstube. So lovely to meet your sister she's so lovely, makes me miss mine! My sister lives around 4 hours away, which might not be much for you, but it's a lot for little old Scotland 😂 thank you for all the videos ❤ ps I have now also become a quilter thanks to you!
I love your progress and spending time with you 🥰 though my stitching may suffer because you've very much kicked my quilty bug back into life haha I'm excited to make something new, thank you!
I also enjoy dying fabric. I’ve done it numerous times and I will do it again in the future. I just love the mixing of the colors and seeing how it turns out. So I flew into Salt Lake on 11 September. My girlfriend and her daughter picked me up and we drove the 7 1/2 miles to Casper Wyoming for the Crazy Woman Retreat, it was a great time. I finished four projects there got to ring the cowbell. Then we came back on Sunday and spent the night at a hotel 2 miles from the airport and flew home Monday morning so I’m sorry I did not get to have time to have a meet up with you maybe we can do it next time.some of the people from my retreat are going to go to Cindy’s on October 5 for a Stiching meet up. Brenda is going to be there. I’m sure you know who she is. And I would love to be there but can’t make it happen.
Yay! I'm so glad you're starting Mary Ann Copp! I love stitching her, she's tons of fun! I should pull her back out soon... :) I'm also head over heels for the new Bella Filipina, might have to snag her this month too....
Hi, Laura! Your Turkey Day is absolutely beautiful and so nicely framed. I love your In The Library, too. I love all your beautiful stitching! Thank you for showing us your dyed pieces. Wow! They are pretty. I adore your sweet giggles and all the love you show for your craft. ♥️🌹Bring back your little sister sometime.
I have to dig my Turkey Day finished project out and get him framed, I spent the whole video admiring him!! Well I did, also, enjoy the rest of your beautiful work too of course! And wow, your dying projects are amazing!!
Congratulations on your finishes, they are lovely. I loved hearing about your dyeing process, one of these days I’m going to get brave enough to try it! I also really liked your idea of sampler Saturdays, I stitch both seasonal and samplers too and I find that my samplers are taking forever to finish because I’m trying to fit them into a season. 1 week of stitching in only one season makes a sampler take 4 years or more! Maybe taking one and stitching on it every week until it’s done or I’m tired of it would work better.
Happy Birthday Laura, (I've already wished you on Instagram I think, but it doesn't harm to send more wishes to someone, does it? 😜). What a nice video! Beautiful finishes, my favorites are "In the Library" and "Mr. Turkey" in its gorgeous and very fitting frame! I really like "Summer ABC'S" too but I am not very fond of its long shape 😍📚🦃🍉 Amazing WIPs, I mean "Fall on the Farm" and "Autumn in Hawk Run Hollow" are just perfect and you dyed a few really gorgeous fabrics 🎨 Also you got some some really beautiful patterns for your birthday 😍 I am looking forward to watch your progress on all those projects and to see your first pattern 😍🧵🪡
Happy birthday! Love your dying of fabric and the neutral colors. Inspiring. Please share your color changes to the autumn quaker. I will be starting too and haven’t pulled the colors yet. Thank you
Ooh, if I may come with imput, I really liked your second quote with the Autumn treasures for the Autumn samplers. Love seeing your fabric. But it once again nails to me how I would love to go abroad and visit a "proper" needleworks store and see/buy a bunch of coloured fabric.
I absolutely love your Turkey finish. That frame is so cute for him! Great progress on Comfort Lighthouse! That lighthouse is no joke. I still love your fabric for the piece! Love the little robin designs piece. Great job on the border! I love those Wysocki kits! I always keep an eye on those. Great haul! Oh wow congrats on your fabric dying! Those pieces look amazing. When are you opening your fabric dying etsy shop? ;). I'd buy!
SOOO many beautiful finishes, Love the Book piece and the cake stand of the summer, so pretty, always so wonderful to watch your flosstube God bless and keep stitching !!
Hi Laura! Happy Birthday! I just love ALL your projects. Would you remind me which fabric you are stitching Autumn Towne on? It’s so pretty! I think I have to stitch that 🤔🫣
I have watched since your first flosstube! I can't wait to see your first design 🎉 Such inspiration and your joy of the craft is contagious. Fabrics are GEORGOUS 😊

Hi Laura Happy Birthday 🎂 Love all of your WIPS - they are so pretty. I just love them. You are a Beautiful Stitcher. Love your Finishes especially Mr. Turkey - he is so cute and so adorable. Love Mr. Turkey. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵☕️☀️🍂🐿️🍁🐝🌻🦉💙
OMG ❤! I just emailed you this morning. We must be in sync. Laura, your finished are gorgeous. Great job! I love your newly dye fabric. You really have a beautiful eye for color my beautiful friend ❤.
Just catching up with my watch later list😮 Really enjoyed your parade.....love watching sci-fi, but funnily enough have never stitched any. You have some really interesting patterns...id better not show them to the other half....i may end up with a job! 😅
Loved seeing all your beautiful died fabrics. Would love to see a video on how you die them after they are wet and scrunched up on the plate. Did you just pour the other colors on? Maybe you would consider doing a video from start to finish of your technique.
Hi Laura - With your quilting ability, I think you should turn Summer ABC's into a bell pull - I don't think you have made one before. So that would be different. A bit of thin batting and a nice backing fabric would finish it odd nicely. Maybe a thin cording around it in blue and white. The hardware for the bell pull would be far less costly than framing. The vanity sampler - if we were doing a sampler of our own in this day and age, we would use a more "modern" quote on it so I say go ahead and change the wording. Great idea. Woo-whoo - you're designing. Can hardly wait.
Laura! My friend!! In the Library is stellar!!! Amazing!! Love, love, LOVE!!! The John Muir quote is perfect for the Vanity Sampler, as is the other. Perfect change 🙂 Your fabric dying is awesome! Thank you for sharing the method to your madness. I've always put them in the oven, I'm going to try the microwave! You find the most amazing quotes! Happy Stitching my friend!!
Happy Birthday, You showed the moonbeam tea chart, which I got right away. I made 2 of them now, did them in DMC, on Storm 20 ct fabric. But I didn't care for the flowers under the grass, so I omitted that, but I felt it needed the title to explain the scene, so I charted the title on the bottom. These are christmas gifts for my boys (men) who love their tea and it's not girly. I like the second poem for your sampler ( not the forest one). I see spiders are just fine for your autumn piece because I've been brushing spider webs down for this last month in my home. They are busy! With your dyeing process, do you find the stitch count change? So you are pouring the dye on the fabric on the plate, not in a bowl? And the microwave is doing the dye setting?
Happy belated birthday, so glad it was a good day for you🥰. Consider yourself an enabler, I’m halfway finished with Turkey Day but after seeing yours stitched on Cauldron(perfect fabric choice) I’ve already placed an order for it and I’m going to finish and gift the one I’m already working on and restitch one for myself on Cauldron. Such beautiful stitching and chef’s kiss on the fabric you dyed! Can’t wait for your next FlossTube. Happy stitching my stitchy friend!
Wow, your fabrics are so fun and I love learning more about that process. All those finishes too - amazing! I started In the Library after seeing yours and I am definitely motivated to get back to it. Yours is absolutely gorgeous!
