Beautiful stitching! Lol- I have comfort inn all kitted up and plan to start it in august too! I had seen it at my local LNS the Inspired Needle in Palm Coast Florida and it is a beauty! I’m using all the called for floss and fabric- I think in 40 ct. It looks nothing like the photo on the chart. It is so beautiful in real life. I just had to get it. 😜 can’t wait to start it. I’m starting with the lighthouse. Thank you for sharing! Happy Stitching!

I do love the designs you find. Quite dangerous. X) Especially the UFO abduction one. I did attend Midsummer stitch -those virtual events are the only ones I can attend. But I got all over-socialized during the later saturday. It was fun to watch the flosstubers live though. On the downside, someone showed the Modernfoldembrodier’ 2025 SAL and now I am off kitting up new things instead of finishing my current things. X) OH well..

Great Flosstube as always, thank you for sharing. Was your other Sunset kit called Old Teddies? I know you showed that a while back and I bought a secondhand kit so it's now in my WIP pile but very slow stitch for me. Wish I'd swapped the fabric out and I'm dreading the backstitch but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Happy stitching 💗

It may have been, I didn't swap out the fabric on my old one either, I was a young teen and didn't know that you could do that. lol. I hope that it is a fun stitch for you, even if a slow one. :)

Fun seeing what you’re working on. Wanting to stitch the Pollinators but not sure how cross stitchers start when the chart is split in the middle. I am older and a new cross stitcher.

I would make a working copy of your pattern, and tape the pages together to give you one continuous chart. I often do that when I am working over page breaks, if I don't, I goof up a lot. 😊

On your Prairie Schooler Christmas project, it would super cute for you to use the DMC E940 (glow in the dark). That was the children really are up in the night! Love all your projects!

Hello Laura what a nice episode once more 😀 Beautiful WIPs and loved all your fabric choices 😍 I love stitch alongs and start alongs, all the SALs actually for the same reasons! I joined the Midsummer Stitch event, it was my first stitching event online or otherwise, I really loved it and I was thinking how great it would be if we had a group that meets now and then online just to stitch together, but then I was thinking about the time difference, because most of you people that I watch/"know"/like live either in the US or Canada or something, so it's almost impossible! When the time for the "stitching rooms" came at the event, I joined one but I could stay just for a few minutes because even though it was 4 o'clock in the afternoon for most, it was 12 midnight for me 😐 So SALs is the closest equivalent and I really enjoy participating, even if I can't keep up 😛 Also I have to say that some times I stitch a pattern that normally I wouldn't have chosen it myself and it ends up being one of my favourites! It has already happened to me twice with the "Summer Quaker" for the "live in the sunshine" SAL and with the "In praise of Pollinators" 😁 Yes, I'd really love watching your video/tutorial about how you pick up floss when converting a pattern 😃 It's been really nice seeing you and looking forward to your next video 😍🧵🪡

Glad your knee is feeling better - I know how hard it can be to take it easy. I always get excited when I see another video of yours pop up - I know I would love to watch your colour process video and hear the rambling (it's part of the charm of your videos). 😂 I am almost done with part 3 of the pollinator SAL - looking forward to part 4 dropping soon (how is it almost the end of July already?!?) and now I am left wondering if I have enough time in the day to start a lighthouse stitch. 😅 Your stitching is always lovely and SO SO enabling.

Barbara Anna has re-released those seasonal ladies as a PDF download that you can get on her website. Though it is not in kit form anymore the patterns are available. I do also have that kit from Nitka Moscow. I will be coming to Utah in September. Don’t know that I can work out a trip to Cindy’s store stitchery Xpress for Saturday stitching. But I will let you know.

Beautiful pieces. I recently lived in Utah for a year for an internship and was surprised how little it rained. Of course, when my husband and son came out to visit, it rained most of the weekend.

So I'm sitting and stitching and my kids are behind me playing video games. When you mentioned your Zelda piece, I heard dual gasps behind me. I have a feeling I'll be looking for that pattern soon for them to stitch! Both boys stitch, but the 12yo is definitely more into it than the 10yo. Are you going to be in SLC during Stitch West? I'm coming into town for it and think it would be fun to meet at Shepherd's Bush or a local quilt shop! (I'll be there Oct 24-27)

Glad your sisters move went well! I absolutely love the Prairie schooler christmas piece you are converting. It's looking so so good and I love the idea of one light on in the house. so cute! Cannot wait to start the Comfort Lighthouse for you. It's been sitting by my desk calling my name ha. I also haven't decided where I want to start... too many good options ha! I love your Fall on the Farm piece too. It's so good! Now you're making me want to pull out my Honey bear kit! Great update Laura!

Yes here in Utah fireworks can get Crazy with people doing their own and on and on late night at times. Tomorrow the 24th is our state day so more fireworks. We have the whole month to enjoy patriotic decorating. It’s never really this hot for so long here we are having a Hot dry spell right now. Usually not so many 100 or over days.Its usually in the 90’s But it is dry here.In a few months it will be cold and snowy but beautiful. Been in No. Utah my whole life. I love all your fun plans for stitching and what you have done. I Really like the lighthouse one since I love lighthouses Take care and Enjoy.........

Thankfully our neighborhood was pretty tame on the 24th. I head some fireworks, but nothing like the 4th. Grace slept well. :) I will be glad when the heat breaks- at least to more typical temperatures. 🤞🏼

Great to see you again… I do miss your weather reports at the start of each video 😂. I’d love to see your thought process doing colour conversions. I have just started dabbling with changing up colours and patterns… watching you and other Flosstubers has given me the confidence to try it for myself… so far it’s a lot of fun but a bit taxing on the brain at times. 😊

I always enjoy seeing your beautiful stitching! That's wonderful you live so close to your sister now. It helps when moving someplace new to have someone familiar close by. I have had the Comfort Lighthouse pattern for a few years now and I'm thrilled to have an excuse to finally start it! I just need to choose fabric. I look forward to seeing your conversion and progress. There is a SAL for the tiers called #tieredtraysal also starting on August 1st! I will be starting Stitchy Tier. I have so many starts planned in August. Eeek!
