At that time, homosexuals were very respectful people. The sexual orientation of each one is a private matter and that is how things were handled in those years where everyone was truly happy and not like today.
I'm sorry there is nothing amazing about a man that treats the women that made him rich and powerful like disposable trash. In the beginning he was ahead of his time and a trail blazer, I will give you that but after 1975 he became a real low life( probably due to the Hollywood crowd) and his friends were the lowest of human beings. Wake up people , he pulled one over on all of us. In the end he was a creepy sick old man with such a hate for women. Sad really. Watch the " secrets of the playboy mansion and get educated. He dodged the "me to" movement big time. He got away with murder without even being sentenced or accountable. The damage he did to many of those women is inexcusable.

I'm cracking up at the shady cameraman that keeps doing a close up of Barbi Benton's boobs!!! Hers are real by the way. But that cameraman can't get enough of them! Ha. I wonder how she felt about this when she viewed it.
Was it really necessary for the cameraman to keep focusing on Barbie’s breast.. So low class and distasteful. Hef cuts off Barbi a lot and also seems to be rather controlling over her activities and dress. He only seems to have been an "activist" for women's rights when it furthered his own agenda, like birth control or the liberalization of nudity. Rather than for what it could actual mean for women's freedom of autonomy and self determination....

This is a pretty good interview. Ms. Benton is very intelligent and articulate and of course beautiful. Hef is at the top of his game and ahead of his time.
When I was growing up in the '80s, and I saw him on talk shows, I thought he was cheesy and I disliked him for that reason. But watching all the pre-80s interviews I am just blown away by the man. What a grounded, super-intelligent, deeply-thinking man. I like him a lot.
