I've been considering replacing my worn-out split bench seat on my 91 Ranger. I already have a set of those poly seats with padded covers that I was going to put in an old VW bug but thought I would try them in my Ranger. Glad to see your video and how you mounted them. Looks pretty simple and I'll give it a try. THX
All oil is not the same. You should be using motorcycle oil or at least Rotella. You have a wet clutch and your transmission is in your engine oil. It’s fine to use cheaper oil with the correct rating……….Car oil has different friction modifiers.
I came across this look for how to change oil on drz400 but lol I'm not a newbbie the oil u used is to weak for motorcycles 10w40 or 40sea oils are required or recommended.
I know this is old but DO NOT USE REGULAR MOTOR OIL! Any motor that has a wet clutch and shares the motor and gearbox oil needs JASO spec oil. Regular oil has friction modifiers that will damage clutch plates. Also the gears in the transmission actually "chop" the chain polymers in the oil and break it down faster. It's not a gimmick, it's science. Motorcycle oil is different in many ways. You don't need ridiculously priced Lucas or Redline oils but you do need the correct type oil.
I know this is an old video but I really like the direction your going with your truck. I got a 97 Ranger 2.3L 5 spd in the same color but with step side bed. I just recently got a nice fiberglass bed cover off fb Marketplace for $50 and getting ready to fab up a ducktail wing for it. I’m really wanting to do racing seats in the truck but I’m still needing it to seat 3 total (me, wife, & 6yrold son) for the occasional times I do truck stuff and the fam wants to go. I was wanting to know if it would be safe and even possible to do driver & pass side racing seats and fab up like a bench seat for the center and use the factory lap belt with it.
Hey man I'm chris if your around I just got so my e seat installed and want to install my harness. Can you explain where exactly. Maybe can you send me some pictures of where.
You are the only video that shows how to drain the oil filter before opening it and dumping oil down the side of the engine. Nice and clean. Gave you a thumbs up for that tip.
GASP at the 5W20 oil! What a mistake!! Dude , Rotella 15W40 or Valvoline motorcycle 10W40 are $4.50 a quart at Walmart and are the right stuff. You showed us the correct viscosities and then used the worst possible oil imaginable in your bike !!?? Like WTF! That energy conserving 5W20 has the wrong additives that will destroy your clutch.
How do you safely remove the hose for the oil screen? Its on there so damn tight and i dont want to damage it and also im afraid i wont be able to get it back on after. Any tips are helpful.
Yea shes a bit tuff to get off. You just have to twist and pull to get off. If the dosent work take a flat head screw driver and gently stick it in the hose and lightly pry on it. To get it to go back on you can put grease on the inside of the hose and it will slide right back on with ease
Jordan Hettinger I gotta say I love your build man. I’ve been trying to replicate the stance, but I can’t seem to find the a kit for the front. Im running on cut springs because the last batch of lowering springs I bought for the wrong truck. Could you tell me what you had?
@@danielstevenson475 thanks man. I actually sold the truck couple years back. Worst decision i ever made. But the truck had the full DJM 3/5 drop kit. With a belltech 3in lowering spring up front. I cut the front spring to get the lower ride height in the front. Rear was axle flip with shackle flip
*This is a great universal product.•••>**allmy.tips/SeatBrackets?ㅆ** My application did take some modification but that was expected. Thanks Speedway!!*
@@JWHFABRICATION can I get any and all pics you have of your interior? I have a 94 Ranger rwd 5speed and I wanna go the same route you went. My email is michaelvelez820@gmail.com
Dude z that oil changes was partially correct but what a disaster recording it, remind me of my videos I posted 5 years ago.. I was an idiot. But with age comes experience
