Here is a walk around of my 2000 ford ranger with a 7in front and 7in rear static drop. Hope you enjoy! Will be posting videos of the newly installed bucket seats. Fuel cell video coming soon!!! Like, Comment & subscribe
Great Videos man!!! I just got back into driving my ranger again! Got a 98 2.5 single cab... I need a new drivers seat mine is blown out and a metal bar pokes me in my lower back!!!
Ricardo Carrillo nice! Are you running blocks? To fix the problem your going to need to take your bed off which is really easy. Their will be a crossmember under the cab so you will look to see where the drive shaft is rubbing on crossmember. Where ever it is hitting on the cross member your gonna notch it. You can do a square notch on the cross member using a grinder. You will then want to plate it in with some extra metal so the crossmember keeps its strength. Its really easy!!!
Yea of course. So for the front I went with djm upper and lower control arms and used bell tech lowering spring up front instead of the djm lowering spring because bell tech was smaller. I then cut the coil spring to reach 7” of drop up front. On the rear I used an axle flip kit which drops the rear 5” and then I flipped the leaf spring hangers which pushed axle up another 2”. I also c notched the frame for more clearance
Front Djm Upper and lower control arms Belltech 3" Lowering spring (Cut) Rear 5" Axle Flip kit Shackle Flip (2") C Notch Ford Windstar Rear Shocks Fuel Cell Dont Remember the cost for everything but it was probably around $1500.. The djm arms and lowering springs are the expensive part of the whole build. Yes it is a even 7"/7" drop all the way around.
Ricardo Carrillo yea man its super easy just remove bed and take a grinder to the crossmember. Make a square notch the width of the drive shaft and make sure you notch it couple inches for the height so drive shaft can travel up and down
Jordan Hettinger I gotta say I love your build man. I’ve been trying to replicate the stance, but I can’t seem to find the a kit for the front. Im running on cut springs because the last batch of lowering springs I bought for the wrong truck. Could you tell me what you had?
@@danielstevenson475 thanks man. I actually sold the truck couple years back. Worst decision i ever made. But the truck had the full DJM 3/5 drop kit. With a belltech 3in lowering spring up front. I cut the front spring to get the lower ride height in the front. Rear was axle flip with shackle flip
Ricardo Carrillo Havent done anything to the cross member the drive shaft runs on. The drive shaft dose not hit the crossmember just driving around. The only time the drive shaft hits the crossmember is when i put weight in the bed. I plan on notching the crossmember soon but have been having alot of rain here in California.
