Adam, how about getting in touch with the campsite warden (Neil Taylor) & getting a Frank Side bottom head from him to put on the Torso doll & maybe a hat 😂😂
One thing you should mention when going in these vans is the gearboxes, some were automatic which when new would have cost in the region of £2000 plus, just a thought 👍
Another great video thanks. Need to do the rear shoes on mine this weekend. Did you lube any of the selfadjuster mech or threads? And did you use any copper grease between shoe ends and piston faces? Good to see the point re: hub to drum alignment in the outtakes :-) Thanks again to both of you for putting all the effort in to these great videos.
I didn't lube the self adjuster. I put copper grease on the edge of the shoes where they contact the back plate but not the ends. I hope this helps, @mobilvettamotorhome2056 ?
I said to you at the time it was the Turbo intercooler Hose that came off, you said to me it doesn't have a Turbo, but I knew it had! :-) Defo Hab door hinges worn. If you can't find any, get in touch I may know someone who can possibly make you new ones! He made some for me! Different sort though! That's why he may be able to make them?? Excellent quality as good as new in fact better!
The products were interesting and I properly laughed out loud. I wouldn’t sleep at night if I had an issue with my brakes. Enjoy your holiday. Take care Gill
The mini projectors are great. Made in China of course. I lived in China 12.6 years and had a couple. As for the doll's most certainly China. No I've need needed one. Be careful. A lot of China people and businesses are there to be dishonest. They use many various names and email addresses. Typical China BS. DON'T FORGET TO FIT A SEATBELT'S FOR THE DOLL AND HER FRIENDS.
2 of our brake lines failed recently at same time on our year 2000 B534. Not on underside but where they were held in clips just after the master cylinder , excessive wear from clip. Fortunately happened at end of long journey whilst filling with water at campsite. If this had happened on the road goodness know what outcome would have been. Lesson is always take care of all brake system particularly brake lines and inspection end to end
So the original fault was a Turbo Blow Job. Channel is certainly changing to a more grown up nature. I just wonder what Zoe can review safely. 😂 Certainly made us laugh. 🤠👧👫
I am watching this just be fore going to bed. Taking Nessa on Holiday in a 6 hours time. We also have wear on our door hinges, but not to quite the same extent, It does look like they side on nylon bushes, no idea where to even start looking or removing as if memory serves me they are riveted hinges with a screw in each half. I am hoping for a nice smooth trip, will be interesting to see how much fuel we save since the new gearbox has been fitted. 3D printers are brilliant. My Brother in Law printed an new Thermostat dial as the original one got damaged and then lost by my kids. so it was guess work were the temperature was set too. You could use the Torso thing to test camping chair. in the back ground. That has to ne one of the strangest I have ever heard to be reviewed.
@@HermanHitstheRoad We are now on the Isle of Mull. Only a week this time. So far an almost troubled free journey. Almost as I went through a puddle and it put on the break wear indicator light. I know it was fine as had front discs and pads done last year and rear pads at the same time. Fingers and toes crossed for a first trouble free trip on the way home. The former was down to me forgetting dog biscuits and have to turn around get them via a flooded back road.
Evening i hope her man is still goinfiat ducato cross beang strong just wondering if you need to remove the radiator to replace the cross beam. as hours is very rusty thanks
@@HermanHitstheRoad A company called Apuljack can upgrade the EBL to give it A lithium profile, this and a DC to DC charger for the alternator will make an easy upgrade.
Thanks @michaelhall4937. I know that it's possible but that would mean doing lots wiring and replacing the EBL with many different pieces of electronic which I don't fancy
Hiya. All you need to do with the habitation door is adjust the hinges that are mounted to the door with either an Allen key or screwdriver (whichever yours is ) and just slide the door up and tighten.
@@HermanHitstheRoadI’ve 3D printed lots for our Men’s Shed and anything going to be exposed to UV we just paint and seems to last. Only issue with the exterior 3D printed items is if they get hot, in direct sun etc, then they ‘droop’ and relax. Loosing their shape and as yours depends on an interference fit to clasp, it might not in future.
Was your smokeless fire pit the Solo Stove? It’s just a standard wood logs, fuel wise. It’s 360° Airflow super-heats air to burn off the smoke, so no more smoke covered clothes etc.

yes change the rusty brake lines! one of mine burst last fall on the day i was meant to start my trip. luckily i discovered this when bleeding the brakes. Had to put an emergency replacement line in which consisted of a copper alloy tube and a very ugly job of bending it more or less into place. emphasis on the less. Still it's worked fine for a year.
After watching this video I decided to renew the steering knuckles so the whole lot could be pulled out in one go. The extra cost of the knuckles was well worth it. Dealing with new parts is so much easier. I have the X230 cassette type bearing not taper bearings. Very easy to press into the knuckle and press the hub.
Very useful video if I ever need to do it to my 2001 B584, which looks exactly the same underneath. There are lots of videos out there with people doing stuff in garages with ramps and other major equipment but seeing you do it on the driveway is inspiring.
Thanks for all the videos. I have just discovered you. I have a very similar van, mine is a 2001 Hymer B584 and I have had lots of the same issues, (such as the strut top bearings going bad and the steering not going back to the centre after a turning). I've not had the 5th gear problem (yet) but mine is a lot rustier than yours is, maybe because it has spent it's life on salt sprayed roads in Scotland. Like you I have a go at fixing stuff if I can, so I replay all the fix it videos over and over. I just welded together the mounts for the front cross member as they had rusted away.
How about policing going through red lights, driving down closed motorway lanes, parking a vehicle like you nicked it,over occupied cars and one named insured vehicle with multiple drivers on it….but hey they are foreigners so let’s pick on campers? Pathetic !!!
Only just gound your video. I have the cruiser too and am quite happy at 15mph and 4mph to start me off on the walk assist throttle. Im a bushcrafter and 59 years of age. Too fast and id miss those vital trees i could use to hang the hammock from and at 15mph, the damage is far less than would happen on say a Suron for example. Due to srrious health ussues, I'd have had to give up bushcrafting altogether, until i bought the Himiway Cruiser...that would have shut down my activities altogether. Great video buddy. Best wishes from Bromley, Kent
People need to know if their houses are new builds, as they build ground water systems in! This means you cannot put black waste down where rain water comes off your roof! You need to hope you have a a sewage drain on your property!
What size spanner needed to remove the rear fluid input connector? I not sure if I have one? It has to be open ended as the brake pipe prevents using a ring? thanks.
The percentage on a weather app is not a percentage of chance it’s a percentage of area so 50% would mean 50% of the area you’re in will get rain not the 50% chance
@@HermanHitstheRoad we agreed to disagree. It depends on which search engine you look at and whether app as it will give you different answers anyway thanks for the attitude. You’ve now lost a subscriber.
great vvlogs guys...... so what are you using for Vvloggging ... is it a osmo pocket 1,2,or 3 I have a 1.. but looking at the 3 heard that it is the best one.... sugguestions please.
I have a Pocket 2 and I love it, Lyn. Best most reliable camera I've ever had. Beats the GoPros hands down IMHO. The Pocket 3 is a bit expensive to me and is much bigger. Does it fit into a pocket?
Yes, they are expensive but a plane ticket you'll only use the once, @ImbWeb. A motorhome/campervan will last years and you can use it for weekends and not just a two week holiday.
Great video. Festival looked amazing- only in basingstoke so will try it next year! Some very good friends of ours went and thought they had spotted you filming- i can confirm to them it was you!!!!
That's great, @bathroomjon1. Basingstoke isn't fair - stay at the campsite and you're sorted👍👍. Did your friends go to Beggars Fair too? They should have said hi 👍
good info iv got a motorhome only one lithium battery 120 & 200 watts solar & because its winter in Oz just now off grid I only get one night then have to move to a powered site I was looking @ getting anther battery fitted but buying a eco flow might be a better idea as my fridge is 3 way & as long as I don't do what you did & plug it in the power socket I can run the fridge on gas & use the eco flow for all the rest or plug it in the motorhome & probably get another night before having to charge it up again but the benefit is that I can buy the solar panels for the eco flow & get more time off grid interesting 👍
