Thanks for the video. I'm new to trout fishing/ fly fishing and I like your set up alot, but I was wondering instead of the magnet on the side of the net which is a cool idea if you were to run that zip line from the top through the net keeper and if that would holster your net for you and not have to worry about the magnet
Good afternoon, I fish this pack a lot and I have changed the way I connect my net a few times over the year. You can certainly run the net without a magnet and connect it like you mention, I have tried it and do run it like that from time to time. The only thing is that the net tends to swing around some, and I like the handle to be in the same place all the time.
is it me or does this seem more midgey than a baetis with that ; the tail and thorax certainly dont scream midge no doubt, but, in high flows doesnt it seem unlikely that a fish notices a tail, and the thorax more of a hotspot than a baetis body? just thinking aloud here im fairly new to euro nymphing nonetheless
Nice , but being stored in a Extremely hot vehicle where sometime the heat can fry an egg on ones dash .. I'm not a Fan of that design Rods are expensive , lines strung in the heat ...???
Thanks for a great topic of discussion. Stillwater fly fishing here in our Colorado Rockies seems to be a lesser known method when compared to river and stream knowledge. Looking forward to the tie and maybe more episodes in greater detail about some of the stillwater topics specific to our Colorado Mountain lakes. 😊
Great Stuff guys👍👍 Folks pay attention to the regulations in each state some states only allow (2) two flys on a set up! Good Luck too all on the water 👍
I emailed Garrison about some details on his cool pattern and he responded back. As far as tubing goes, he uses 1/8" tubing and he said he uses 3.3mm Umpqua Radiant Beads.
Just came across your channel. Been to Alaska the last 2 years for salmon and have not hit the big runs yet. Hopefully this year. Love catching fish on flies I’ve tied. More I can learn the better.
