An absolutely useless system. Installed throughout the entire house 2 years ago, 6 radiators, extra thermostat controler, and signal extenders. This system is very inaccurate in result you have to cold or to hot house, resulting in a waste of money on extra heating costs in addition to the system itself. It's worth mentioning that it was installed by a certified plumber. The batteries run out very quickly; you'll need to replace them 3-4 times a year. The app is glitchy all the time. I deeply regret purchasing it; it's a waste of money and time. Now I have a completely useless system that I HAVE TO REMOVE and RETURN BACK TO THE OLD FASHIONED THERMOSTAT. I'VE LOST THOUSANDS OF POUNDS.
How do I set the heating to come on once in the morning on LP241 model.. 5am till 7am in the morning Mine only allows to set the heating on twice in the day
I have two za5 for dual zone but zone 2 doesnt work independently, the lever has to be to the left to heat up zone 2. Zone 1 level is to the right and both resting to a. What could be the issue?
It sounds like you have got a wireless version in which case, the clock is assessed via the user options menu by pressing and holding in the left and right hand arrow keys together until the screen changes to USER 00 and then scrolling through using the right hand arrow key until you see the DATE option.
Hi, I know this isnt relevant to the video but I'm looking for help with my digistat +3RF. It's showing E16. Would really appreciate some advice. I'm in emergency accomodation, disabled & have children. My landlord is rubbish at communicating
Unfortunately this means a failure in the internal temperature sensor and this will need to be replaced. The closest current product will be the RF901. Chat with our customer service team who can assist you further - 0333 6000 622
The way to toggle the way between heating and hot water is to click the setting button and either the radiator or tap symbol will flash. Then use the + or - button to toggle between the two and then confirm with the circle button.
I have a red light on mine on top of the tap and radiator Symbol, but my heating and hot water are working fine and I press the symbol it is flashing green
😞😞Connectivity and Multi-User Access are not allowed with Drayton Wiser Smart Heating System I recently purchased the Drayton Wiser Smart Thermostat Dual Zone, Wiser Smart Heating Radiator Thermostats, and Wiser Plug Extender with high hopes of upgrading my home heating system. However, I've encountered significant issues with connectivity and multi-user access. Despite following installation instructions diligently, I consistently face difficulties connecting to the hub remotely. This limits the system's functionality, as I cannot adjust heating settings when away from home due to persistent "cannot connect to the hub" errors. Additionally, attempting to grant multi-user access has been unsuccessful. Despite efforts, only one user (myself) can control the system remotely, hindering convenience for households with multiple individuals. Overall, while the Drayton Wiser Smart Heating System shows promise, its current connectivity and multi-user access limitations diminish its effectiveness. Prospective buyers should consider these issues before purchasing.
These look great. To determine the order of rads in my home can i open all trv's and locksheilds fire up the system find the first one shut off the system close that fully down both ends to isolate it then fire the system up and find the next one and so on and so on as just hand feeling them was not allowing me to find the order. Can this work with standard locksheilds left fully open or must i fit the new ends?
That method of identifying the radiator order will work. If you've got existing locksheilds fitted you don't need to replace them just lock them wide open.
with regards to Dno your still meant to apply to apply to connect with induction hobs, electric wet central heating boilers and showers. but in the past dno didn't bother and let it go, but now dno's are worried about the network and cracking down on it starting with heat pumps. . I know work for Ehc electric boilers in their tech team. with regards to some dno's rating down to 80amp from 100. when you contact them tell them it's for zero carbon heating technology they should put in 100 for free. has the head of the UK networks said they want homes to have this if its for electric boilers and heat pumps. regards Rob Sale
Do you know the answer to this problem which I think is more electrical than a problem with the MA1, In the morning I have the hot water timed to come on, half hour later I have the heating timed to come on and remain on for the rest of the day. I've recently noticed that when the hot water goes off the indicator on the actuator remains in the mid position and the boiler fails to fire to keep the heating on, If I switch the mains off to the whole system the actuator then moves to the H position and because the timer is still calling for heating the boiler then fires up, is the fault coming from the boiler or timer?
Rule of thumb for the headline rating. Vaillant rates to -7 air temp and 35 degree flow temp, whereas most other brands rate to +7 degrees, rather than -7 degrees.
I have a Tempus Four Weekender controller that needs replacing, are there any models that will slot straight onto the existing electrical backplate as I cannot find a new or used replacement.
Unfortunately the backplate for the Tempus Four is not the same as the current models but all the necessary wires are there to wire into the new backplate. The closest current model is the LP 241.
You don't need open energy monitoring kit to join the heatpumpmonitor league table. You can piggy back onto most modern heat pumps with emoncms, using the manufacturer's in built sensors.
I’ve set mine to 6am - 8.00am at 18 degrees and another timer for 8.01 at 14 degrees. Then an 5.59pm at 14 degrees and then at 6pm - 9pm to 18 degrees and then 9pm until 6am at the standing degree of 12 degrees. Will the timers within one minute of each other not make the cost of my heating expensive as it’s roaring up for one minute? Ideally I want it to come on twice in the day which is the 6am -8am slots and 6pm -9pm slot and have it off in the day and night completely. Would you just recommend turning the radiator thermostat manually to 0 and then on again in this case?
Genuinely trying to find out how to clear ALL timings (there are 3 at the moment) is there a way to clear them all and start all over again please, thank you!
The unite can be factory rest which will get you back to the default timings. This is done by pressing and holding the 'set?' and '+' until the screen goes blank.
When scheduling on the 2 -channel LP, you have the option to toggle between CH and HW. If you email our customer services they can send you an easy guide for the LP range - customer.care@draytoncontrols.co.uk
The padlock symbol can mean two things: 1 - if it asks you for a passcode when you press a button, it means the access protection has been enabled and you need a code to unlock it. 2 - the padlock symbol will appear when using the Wiser Home app connected via Bluetooth. When you close the app the padlock will disappear and the buttons on the unit will respond again.
This might be a stupid question, but what does ‘on’ mean exactly for water? Is it continually heating up? Or only if the tank is below a certain temp? And how does timer work for water? Will it only heat the tank during those times? And what does ‘once’ mean for water? Is it once a day? Or one refill?
Your hot water cylinder is controlled by both time and temperature. The LP is controlling time and you'll have a cylinder thermostat strapped around your hot water cylinder. When the LP is set to the ON position, it means it won't time out so the boiler responded to the cylinder stat all of the time. If you have the LP set to timed, the cylinder stat can only bring the boiler on during an ON time period. The default timings for the LP is to have an ON period in the morning and an ON period in the evening. If you select the once option, the LP is following the scheduled times but ignores everything other than the first ON time in the morning and the last OFF time in the evening. So, the cylinder thermostat can call the boiler on throughout the day but not at night.
