Great video. Can get a slightly used 2018 - 2020 Cayman S for half the price and it's essentially the same car. I can't understand buying new, even if I had the money to do so.
He got the Black Bumper guards wrong. From 1969 to 1973 TR6's had a clean bumber with NO Black Bumper Guards. Then in late 1973 ALL American TR6's HAD to have them (the black bumper guards) so all American bound TR6's from 74' to the end of production in 1976 HAD the black bumper guards. Describing the black bumper guards as "An American Spec thing" is inaccurate and missleading. NOT all TR6's had them, such as ALL TR6's from 1969 to 1973. These early TR6's had clean bumpers without the guards. That's how you can instantly tell the difference between earlier 69-73 models and the later 74-1976 models which HAD the guards.
“The FAs haven’t been know for reliability” continues to drive thru a foot of water “I’ve contacted Subaru about this” what a idiot. Countless owners have had countless miles without issues granted they aren’t doing stupid things like this with them
I worked at a used Ford dealer back in "77. They had a TR 6 they didn't seem to care about. I was the car wash kid and gopher I kept the car hidden in the back. It was in Fla. and any errand ended with a beach cruise. I'd slip any plate I could find between the gas cap and trunk and off I'd go. Don't have one now, but I hope a trip to Barrett Jackson this year will bring back old memories.
So you're not a dirt road driver are you. Those roads you're driving on are normal roads here in Australia. This was comical. Not because of what was going on but the silly driving.
Yon need to included price in this evaluation, otherwise loses all value...Porsche $200K+ v Model S Plaid <$90K…Taycan 0-60 in 2.4 sec, Model S Plaid <2 sec. Porsche no charging network v Tesla SC network…Would rather have Model S Plaid and Cybertruck Beast (also as fast as Taycan) than one Taycan Turbos S…oh wait, I already do!
1:16 u should not say the word as “not reliable” to explain the ground clearance.. u should say “ground clearance is not enough” If u say as no reliable- this means engine is not good and easy to breakdown..
I have 911 money but would go for a 718 any day. It handles better. Granted 911 goes faster from 0-100. But lets be real... unless u live in germany or go tracking that is useless. I live next to germany. And still. A 718 is more than powerful enough for daily driving. Too much even. I want a sportcar not a touring car. The 718 is far closer to what the 911 used to be than a 911 now.
3,9 sec from 0-60 "not very fast". lol. I own the cayman s and you CAN connect via bluetooth and play music. It is absolutely possible. CarPlay only works with cable. The thing with the cayman is, it is a track tool. Although it is not sold as a track tool. But some even prefer it over the 911 because of the balance and weight.
I've had my 1993 Nissan Cima for 5 years. Other than coil overs (the OEM ride will collapse from age), the car is stock. Remarkable car, dead silent, and Lexus-like smooth.
