Man, that song really does share 95% of its DNA with Brahms' Lullaby. And that lag was real. I never heard an NES game's music slow down to a crawl quite like this one did.
The Jackieo fight is one of the hardest on the nes, and u killed him fast ash!!! On Nintendo switch u can play the sp version and it starts u out at the end with like 60 magic and the fire but I still can't beat it.
They've got something special here! Too special to not make an expanded sequel! Aka a full game that expands on the formula w a bigger map, more power ups, etc. Hope it happens one day!
MM2 is my favorite title to watch speedruns for. The pause buffer to extend your jump is something I've seen used with a zip on Wily 2, but I've never seen it used in Air Man's stage. Great work!
6:25 I've never understood the point of this room. Was it just to reset your character onto the left side of the screen? Or was there supposed to be an enemy on the platform? That has ALWAYS bugged me.
Y'all ever think about how weird the 80s ninja craze was? They're supposed to be these unseen silent assassins, but most pieces of American media that used ninjas had these super jacked dudes tearing through waves of enemies head-on. At least Tenchu remembered they were supposed to be stealthy.
I know we didn't get prime Arcus on this run, but the fact that he remembers how to run 50+ games is just insane. He might not always be the fastest at a particular game, but his depth makes him one of the best in the world.
One thing I like about your videos is that you look like you're having so much fun doing them. Keep up the good work, maybe you can cut off a couple seconds if you work on a couple spots I noticed throughout the run. A good time, nonetheless.
Developer: "OK, so you've seen the TV show, right? Just have them fight those enemies in the game." Designer: "I hear the words you're saying, but what if instead..." (throws spaghetti at a wall)
It sounds like you are farting when you move around in your chair. I don’t think you’re really farting, I just wanted to point it out that it sounds that way. Thank you for all of the wonderful videos, son.
