i swear battletoads was the hardest nes game i ever played as a kid. my friends and i would play it all the time and could hardly get past like level 5.
Something interesting about Rygar--the health bar reads left to right, where in most games, it reads right to left. Any idea when r-to-l became standard? Zelda used r-to-l, as did Kid Icarus, so it was at least in use by the time of Rygar, if not fully standardized.
