Dude! I LOVE your stuff. Dunno why every other video on this is so complex and unhelpful. Your videos are fantastic. You are now my go to channel for videos to share to my self defence class on how to do stuff. Clear, simple, nice steady pace, carefully broken down into stages and easy to follow. Bloody brilliant mate.Oss
Really great two videos.Explained well and easy to follow along too.I will be using them over the next couple of weeks.I will let you know how they went. Thank you Harj you’re teaching is second to none.Keep well.🙏🙏🙏
What I would like to see - Apologies if you have already covered this. However I am keen to see if there's some body posturing plus something that has spoken, that makes it crystal clear that I am not the aggressor. I'm thinking things like CCTV footage being reviewed later by police that proves my innocence. At the moment I'm working with : * open hands in front & moving away to maintain safe distance * verbalising 'look stop, I want no problem,' again as I back away. I really like the obvious 'no threat' and to Keep It Simple. Anything else would be appreciated.
Good white belt level Isshinryu karate thrust kick. Nothing new. It happens to be my favorite kick to use in full contact sparring against multi-degree black belts though.
Thank you kindly mate. Have my hands full with current classes but I appreciate the request. There are a couple of schools in Coventry. My mate runs Krav Maga Grit in Cov if you wanna give them a shout. 🙏
Hi. My Name is Peter and I am from Austria. I like your Videos. They are very helpful. You show Trainingsdrills where you can also train alone. I like that. But I have a question: Could you also show something with the karambit?
Hi Peter. Massive thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you get something from the videos. I have experience with karambit, but that was mainly from FMA. It's not a weapon system I've come across much in Krav and I certainly am not knowledgeable enough to teach on the subject. I like point driven systems involving short blade and clinch pick.
I am Shotokan Karate Blackbelt holder and I am very interest about Krav maga. I follow your channel to start to practicing about krav maga. It is very clear instruction and easy to understand about techniques. I am very grateful for your teaching. oss Sensei
He’s amazing. I’ve never trained with him. But, refer everyone to him for accurate training advice. I’ll be using your slap video from now on as one of the follow up videos to my one day Self Defence courses. You explain it so well. Good job mate 🙏
I train with a former military contractor who fought MMA and he used to train with a seal. The second you decide you're going to put your hands on anyone, you need to try and go first, and be so violent to where you control when you decide to back off, so they don't have a chance to come back at you. Krav Maga is some of the stuff we train, in all honesty, it's one of the best. Fingers to the eyes, groin shots, ear slaps, and like the seal told my buddy, if you find yourself in a bad situation and you have access to someone's ear, "rip that mother fucker off"
It won't look as bad if you hit someone and you get caught on a street camera if the police get involved it's something I would use it's also something they wouldn't expect
@kravmagawest as soon as i get a job where i can come to more than one lesson every 2 months i will be. Even the 6 hours i had have been so useful in recognising potential issues and keeping myself safe
Hello Harj I have used your cue drills a couple of times now.I think they are crucial drills to learn and helps with the rabbit in the headlights syndrome, about ten years ago I was attacked by four drunks outside a supermarket market in the early hours of the morning I was going to work. The first one fronted me and I tried to control the situation before it escalated into violence unfortunately to no avail and I ended up second best and being hit over the head with a bottle twice.when I thought about it afterwards I was annoyed with myself because the first bottle over the head I stood and watched him do it before I started my defence. That is why I think these drills are so important to learn. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in the videos you do. Keep well and safe.🙏🙏🙏
Firstly I'm sorry to hear of your experience but also glad that you are still here to tell the tale. What a horrible situation. Yes the cue drills (inspired by Lee Morrison, Craig Douglas + Richard Dimitri) address that moment that if you recognise and perceive the action you could potentially do something before they do. Keep working them my friend 🙏
This is another really good video the drills at the end were great,I hope you don’t mind I am going to use them when teaching. Keep well and thank you.🙏🙏🙏
Great Explanation, the different zones and options for self preservation i.e. bent arm, cupped hand, using heel of hand not fingers are all super tips, hip twist and whip from foot upwards in series... nicely explained Thanks
Someone got in my face today and invaded my personal space and I had to be humbled because I didn't know what the other person would do and I don't know how to fight 😊
Glad you managed to walk away safe from that. This is why people need to train not only the physical component but also the psychological aspect of conflict/violence. If you have no experience of this the brain will do it's best for you in that moment which it thinks will give the best outcome. This can be fortunate or not so much . Get yourself to a class so that you can be in control of your options and therefore the outcome.
There is no way I let you get that close to me to hit me. Distance. As soon as I no longer have any way to keep my distance from you, IE you back me into a corner with no way out, I attack.
Not you. You would not need slapped. Belligerent violent drunks will ALWAYS get in the face of random strangers. This slap move is MVP for most regular non fighters
