We have lots of projects including woodworking, metalworking, electronics, 3D printing, prop making and more!
These videos are our attempt inspiring and empowering others to make the stuff that they want to have. Hopefully you'll see something here that will inspire you to make something that you're passionate about!
We've got a second channel with non-project related stuff! ru-vid.com/show-UCruM8e10ljDk6VEe1XrUxQA

I would advocate that you at least drywall / drop ceiling your ceiling, exposed floor trusses (with electrical, plumbing and hvac) will always be a distraction since it occupies the totality of your headroom in most of your shoots. Btw it's pretty common over here (Canada) to have electrical panel in a non-mechanical rooms (we have a lot of finished basements over here), it's usually been covered up with a simple wood frame and a door a little taller and wider than the panel so it can be serviced / expanded easily yet ain't an eye sore. Cheers, love your content as always.
Music is just too loud, and too corny, and just distracting from what you're saying. I'm really interested in the content of this video but the music makes it so hard to get through. You don't need corny cheap childish bargain bin QOTSA to keep the audience's attention. It would be better without it. Or at least just quieter.
Right at the start it'd really help if you stated which board you're using that costs $3. That's what your title is about, and you just wave a board around without first indicating what it is and where you got it from. You say it's an ESP board and an Arduino, but that's really not enough to be helpful. You do link to the board in the description, which is nice, but I think showing what you're using at the start would be even better.
I would highly suggest having a separate room for resin printers. I have my resin and fdm in the same room and I wanted to have a workdesk in there, but the fumes from the resin machines (no matter how much vent you have) still make it not good to sit and do stuff in the same room with the resin. If I was able I would make a separate enclosed area for them. Otherwise great ideas!
Over here in Europe we have a fantastic storage standard based on the euro palettes. It is every version of the 30x40 cm (wich is the size of beer crates). 60x40 cm for example is commonly used by bakeries. I love them so much I would love to organize my whole live in Euro boxes.
At time index 7:30 you show the uncovered rafters that are butted directly against each other, secured with steel mesh. At time index 7:33, you show what appears to be a completely different uncovered rafters that are butted to a center ridge board, not to each other. Any explanation for the difference? Video editing of a difference section of the roof??? Rather odd and detracts from the point of the video, which was good otherwise.
@@Iliketomakestuff I have enjoyed this channel in the past. No need to make your videos overly complicated and drawn out as you seem to be doing more often these days. A fair bit less talk and more action would be appreciated. Trying to cater to the lowest common denominator is always going to be a losing battle and just ends up wasting other people's time.
If I don't remember wrong there is a device of type roller or blind that you could use, and there is no need for a limit switch because you time how much does it take to open and close and that's enough. And you will have only one device, and that's just perfect
I absolutely LOVED this episode! I am currently having the exact same problem in my shop, and I am looking forward to seeing the future changes you make.
You could try using fireproof insulation rolls to make a temporary blanket to get better heat distribution and utilization of the energy coming off, basically like a makeshift oven.
Kudos on the transparency. Cluttered spaces yield cluttered minds. Refreshed spaces refresh the mind - can’t wait to see what comes next, and when your mind says make and your shop says yes!
Your BIGGEST problem is you talk way too much and do very little work. We don’t care about your deep thoughts or profound vision, we want to see the work. Get with it
What you were talking about presentation for videos... I think you'd find that the ~20min it takes to paint the plywood and electric panel boxes with some white paint to help them blend into the background, would be SO paid back on the effect they bring the room. Even if you then cut out lightning bolt triangle or diamond placards to designate them as electrical cabinets, they would still be much more background rather than eye-grabbing attention seekers.
How did the action figure come out of the mold articulated without you making the joints? I saw you mold it and cast it, but it came out just like the red figure without any extra work. Did you edit a little bit? If not, please tell/show me how you made the body pieces and joints please! Sorry, for asking, I'm just curious, please. 😁
Hey Bob, I don´t know what you use to film your stuff, but seems to me that you can use some roof supports for your cameras, to film in a tight spot our just to let us see better what you are doing, those supports in the right alignment will make best use of your illumination. Great channel! o/
I love how alike our shops are... Even down to the 500 projects on ever surface. Mine is more automotive focused, but I also have a billion other hobbies. Love watching your progress and ideas, always sparks me to get of my a$$ and make something. Keep it up brother!
