Thanks man. I agree, pretty ambitious for my second ever video. My mixes have come a long way, but still learning! Do you have a favourite prog rock artist?
The old version is one of your covers I did like most and so this one. Things I like: 1- The bass sound. 2- The general "low-pitched" sound (sorry, don't know how to say in english) 3- Middle tempo song 4- That sweet ride cymbal at 1:36 👍🏻 5- Those hands at the end 😁 Great work!!
Which enemies / mutants do you find creepiest? Also do you prefer the new menu theme or the old one? Here's my cover the old one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1rUfiFcjOJU.html
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers Yeah, those are usually the most fun to arrange! I've been working on a new Mario Kart tune for a while now, and I think it finally will be ready in the upcoming week haha ^^
Thank you! I used an Epiphone Explorer / Ibanez RG Chameleon / Spector Bass for this one. I use Stevie T Amp sims in Reaper DAW: ml-sound-lab.com/products/amped-stevie-t-free
I adore your absolutelly tasty-doomly-wicked-from-hell sound, specially all the "LOWs" spectre (sorry if I'm inventing words, english is not my native language 😂) Also like a lot your playing, I really enjoy a lot your videos. The Flashback scene is 10/10 😂👍
Wicked cover as always mate, I really liked the ambience that the synth added to the mix and your guitar tone sounds incredible as usual! The video at the end was fun to watch even if I've never played DayZ and understands nothing haha
Haha! Thank mate, I always appreciate your feedback! I had a last-minute idea to put the video at the end. Was fun to play around with the game's sounds effects and POV. Glad you liked it.
Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!
Thank you! Yes, I love my explorer too! I didn't realise how lucky I was to get one back around that time! Maybe 2004, my first year out of school. They were what James Heyfield played, I had to have one! 🤘
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers Back at that time I was a massive Static-X fan and back then I really remember struggling to find out what guitar brands people were playing. For me it was between a Les Paul because of Dan Donegan from Disturbed OR a V/Explorer because of Wayne. I'm so glad I got the Explorer. The only hardware that's ever been upgraded were the pickups to EMG 81/85 back in maybe 2004 thanks to Killswitch Engage and I had to replace the nut which snapped at the low E string very early on if I recall. There's actually a Gothic Les Paul available near me for $500 and I really need to snag that ASAP.
I like less traditional guitar shapes, the most traditionally shaped guitars I own are Ibanez Super Strats. I like the Randy Rhoads offset V, and Thunderbird Basses too. My dream guitar would be the white Snakebyte. And Yes. Do it! (Grab the Les Paul)
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers S-shape guitars are honestly my least favorite but I do own a few. Explorer and Les Paul shapes are by far my favorite. I saw that Wage War recently started rocking Jackson and LTD guitars. Seth with a Jackson Kelly/V and Cody with an LTD Phoenix/Snakebyte. A friend of mine about 10 minutes away from me actually has a white Snakebyte I saw in person when i sold him my Axe-FX II XL+, I should go give it a try at some point.
Haven't played this game but it looks really cool and the music sounds great! I guess your cover makes it go even harder haha, awesome work as always! Really like the synth tones/parts you did in this one
Thanks again mate! It's a great piece to begin with. I actually hadn't played that much either. I was on the menu screen on the second session when I realised I needed to cover it! Immediately
Hey Sorry Friend, I'm still working out the best way to share tabs. The thing is, I partially make tabs on some of the more complex projects. But for tracks like this, I didn't write them down at all. Thanks for asking though. It's a prompt for me to make it part of the process, so we can all jam along! Full credit to Gabe Castro.
Gotta catch up on some of your videos and this was a great way to start, I love the Peter Jackson trilogy and this tune is so badass! Especially the part around 0:36 . Great tones and awesome job mate!
The PJ Rings Trilogy is my equal favourite 'movie' (I count them as one) alongside Terminator 2. That part at 0:36 is my favourite too. I've remastered the full The Two Towers medley because I wasn't happy with the mix... but not sure I want to re-upload it or not... (I've just done this part because its the most watched). Thanks for the support mate! Looking forward to your next song. Have you got a project going at the moment?
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers Yeah that makes sense haha, the trilogy is definitely up there in the top for me aswell! Okay cool, it's always nice with some more content and it would be interesting to hear the new mix aswell. Yeah it's been a while now but I'm actually very close to finish my next tune, so I'm really looking forward to it :)
@@TheYuke Its so obscure, not many people would not get the reference. I've thought about changing it heaps of times, but I've never been to creative when it comes to names Haha!
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers Somebody may reach out to you asking for permission to use this track in a mod for the game. All you have to do is give your consent, and the mod creator will do the rest.
@@universal_wisdom3416thank you. As long as they give full credit to Gabe Castro as the original composer, I would be honoured to have my cover used as a mod.
