Metal Cover of The Bridge from the Mortal Kombat 3 Soundtrack. I had totally forgotten how epic this track is! Originally composed by Dan Forden aka the "Toasty" guy for the Midway game, Mortal Kombat 3. #MortalKombat3 #metalcover
Nice. Sub-Zero was my favourite from MK3 too. My alltime favourite, Scorpion controversially wasn't on the MK3 roster! Kabal is also one of my favourites, I'd never seen hookswords before MK3. Top 3: Scorpion Sub-Zero Kabal Cyrax is cool too... and Reptile... and Baraka and Jade... oh, and Shao Kahn... Actually most of them are awesome! 😆
Thank you! Yes, I love my explorer too! I didn't realise how lucky I was to get one back around that time! Maybe 2004, my first year out of school. They were what James Heyfield played, I had to have one! 🤘
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers Back at that time I was a massive Static-X fan and back then I really remember struggling to find out what guitar brands people were playing. For me it was between a Les Paul because of Dan Donegan from Disturbed OR a V/Explorer because of Wayne. I'm so glad I got the Explorer. The only hardware that's ever been upgraded were the pickups to EMG 81/85 back in maybe 2004 thanks to Killswitch Engage and I had to replace the nut which snapped at the low E string very early on if I recall. There's actually a Gothic Les Paul available near me for $500 and I really need to snag that ASAP.
I like less traditional guitar shapes, the most traditionally shaped guitars I own are Ibanez Super Strats. I like the Randy Rhoads offset V, and Thunderbird Basses too. My dream guitar would be the white Snakebyte. And Yes. Do it! (Grab the Les Paul)
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers S-shape guitars are honestly my least favorite but I do own a few. Explorer and Les Paul shapes are by far my favorite. I saw that Wage War recently started rocking Jackson and LTD guitars. Seth with a Jackson Kelly/V and Cody with an LTD Phoenix/Snakebyte. A friend of mine about 10 minutes away from me actually has a white Snakebyte I saw in person when i sold him my Axe-FX II XL+, I should go give it a try at some point.
Man, I fully enjoyed this video...! I think I love all the things that sound here, starting by the tapping part, the bass line, drums, the power chord section..... 😂 And your James Hetfield-style guitar 🤘
Thanks man! I appreciate the feedback! And James Hetfield is the first guy I ever remember seeing play an Explorer guitar! He's a big influence of mine. PS please keep those retro drum beats coming! 🤟
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers Metallica also has been my big influence and the band that motivated me to play (I started with guitar, as teen 🙂), Hetfield and Ulrich. Still my fav band after almost 30 years. And yep, every week I try to have a cover prepared, thanks! 😉🤘🏻
Me too! I didn't really even enjoy music until I heard the black album as a child. Then I found out the older stuff was even better! Hetfield and Ulrich have written some of the most important metal songs ever! Looking forward to your next video! \m/
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers Hahaha, same here, Black Album was the first and I can say it changed my life, in a musical sense al least (Pd: I love Eye of the Beholder)
Thanks for watching and the kind words! This is a few videos ago, so I'm still working out the mastering! But I think the mastering on this one turned out okay. Please feel free to give any feedback or suggestions if you have a listen on some good speakers. 🙂 Thanks again!
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers I just listened to it on good speakers at my friends place, it actually sounds very very good! A bit too bass-y overall, thats my only critique. You could totally shove this piece in a game and no one would notice its a home record!
@@thedeadkeepitmetalcovers I have had the same bass thats why I am asking! It was a 150€ Cort, cort and cheap ibanez guitars are made in the same factory. (afaik)
