A beautiful rendition but for all the people saying it's the best ever? He didn't even sing the full song. I loved Andy and his music, maybe it was cut short for the show? Judith Durham does a brilliant try at it, look it up.
*Me imagino a Freddie Mercury cantando esta hermosa canción en el primer concierto de la "Gira Loca". Seguro sonó bellísimo. Ojala algún día salga a la luz ese gran concierto.*
listening to this song while reading Haruki Murakami's Hard-Boiled Wonderland and The End of The Word (I won a dozen pencils in a school harmonica contest playing this tune)
This is a nice arrangement and I like Andy's interpretation. I liked this song so much that I have included it on my channel as guitar play along score at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RDztLExEKE4.html
When I was growing up in Ireland my Father told me that Danny Boy is so revered it should NEVER be sung in public by anyone who can't do it justice because it is regarded as Ireland's second National Anthem He sang it at a neighbor's funeral for a man we all knew as "Danny" I am proud to say he was one of the best I have ever heard and there wasn't a dry eye in the congregation including mine. It was then I came to realise why it compels so much reverence and respect I stopped listening to this rendition by Andy Williams because IMO he is simply not good enough
