Now this is simply the greatest version I’ve heard. And I thought Rhino played this really well. First time I’ve heard the original lineup play it live. Sensational. 🙏 thank you 🙏🙏
These two women are totally ignorant about anything this man was doing, harming no one but was openly maligned by these two ladies neighbour's from hell
In 1992 Diesel Park West toured with Quo in Germany probably about twenty gigs. At first we like most people regarded them as a bit of a joke. At the first gig in Hamburg we watched them and basically had a laugh at their expense taking the piss. However by the third gig we were in awe of them. Their sheer work ethic and professionalism was a wonder to witness. We never seen anyone soundcheck so thoroughly. It's no coincidence that they have done such great business. Also what goes on between those two Telecasters is unbelievably tight and has a real magic about it. Status Quo are quite possibly the most socially important band in British rock n roll over and above all ( that's ALL) others.
Probably from the 90s, maybe that bootleg version from Timrå in Sweden (1996)? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a3uopvXWJng.htmlsi=8Uvdo7VCq5SGLP9S
final straw for me at 2:54 with comment about "most of them played on 3 chords"...I'd let "Rick being a founder member of the band" mistake go as poor research and the comment about her friends laughing at the mention of Quo. Frame should have told her to bugger off at that point in the interview.
Interviewer/narrator mocks them with every chance she gets the jelous cow. Putting words into frances rossis mouth. Just a jelous person who dont like Quo and jumped at the chance to step on their toes
why do you let such a clueless chick narrate / make a documentary about a band she has no real interest in or knowledge of ?? around the 38 minute mark, that's Francis being really honest. Everybody who has been in a band knows exactly what his state of mind is. And it's that attitude that makes you keep on trying to get better at what you do. In a way that's kind of one of the secrets to their longevity. 45:15 they know about the spinal tap aspects of touring and this documentary obviously. all in all a very personal honest inside view of a touring band.
Nothing uncool about Status Quo - they are a great rock band !! What stands out in this documentary is the crap questions and attitude of the sub standard reporter!
I have a tape of this concert that I haven’t heard for 20+ years. I especially remember cream of the crop. so it’s so great to hear it again. Always fun. Always will miss Ricky.
It’s not funny to do documentaries with Status Quo. It’s funny to laugh about doing documentaries with Quo, if you get my drift. Nobody wants to be the first to take them seriously. Us hardcore do. It’s us that keep them going at heart, really. It’s us that buy the tickets.
Take someone who says they dont like Quo along to a concert and see if, within the first minute, the foot isn't a tappin', and the leg isn't a shakin', and the body isn't a groovin'. If none of these things are a happ'nin'...they're not alive.
Quo rocks...ha. As he puts his clothes (back?) On.... But they have been playing 'the game' long enough to be able to make fun of it for the camera. But who isn't just a bit jealous of her????
I like how Francis is very reserved and snarky towards the interviewer (and just generally) but when asked if he loves Rick he responded straight away with "Of course I love him".
1:45 As far as I am aware Parfitt was not a founding member. Rossi and Lancaster were. Formed in 1962 the band were know by different names such as Traffic Lights and The Spectres. Parfitt joined in 1967. Parfitt may have had influence on the band changing their name to The Status Quo as they used to be known? Then Status Quo and eventually just Quo. What an ignorant, arsehole narrator/interviewer.
