I know the writers didn't think the Cheers cameos worked other than Diane and of course Lilith but i thought this episode was well done. Also love that we get to see a blend of the Cheers Frasier and the Frasier Frasier.
Cheers needs to come back on tv....but the first show should revolve around this scene.....pete scheiner's character actually gave the most money to pay for bar....4 bits....(12 1/2 cents)...this always bothered me....why would producers use this term....so pete actually owns bar....anyway...cheers everybody!!!!
I have a friend that still wears a Hair System. He tells me that this kind of male pattern baldness (just the crown) is the worst kind. He says that if it was really bad he could just go bald. But because his front back and sides are still thick and full he can’t bring himself to shave it all off. And without the system he thinks it looks bad. Gotta be tough being in no-man’s land.
what’s sad is while he’s trying to comfort her by saying it’s routine he admits he keeps saying her name while he can. showing he’s just as scared as she is
Truly wonderful writing and genuine in every sense. I've often found myself thinking of this scene when I'm in sensitive situations; being sensitive to others' feelings while downright honest.
Honestly, it sounds like for Niles, Daphne was the "perfect woman": beautiful, kind, loving, giving, she was everything that he wanted in a partner. But when reality finally set in, the imperfect, flawed Daphne emerged and Niles just couldn't handle it. Seems like Niles married Maris for money and social status but when Daphne entered his life, everything changed in a second. I've been single and childfree all my life and I'm perfectly content with being alone forever. Never falling in love or getting married or having kids isn't the end of the world. Elizabeth Taylor married 8 times, 7 of those marriages ended in divorce. Some people are just better off alone
I've been there myself. I was in a relationship for 3 years which consisted of mainly shouting matches and my stuff being thrown out the window. After 3 horrible years I finally realised that I no longer loved the girl I was with so instead of getting angry and yelling again I simply said goodbye, wished her well on the rest of her life and walked out taking all of my belongings with me. I'm glad this happened when I was only 21 and not when I was a middle age man with children who would have been affected by these arguments and eventual breakup 💔
By then this wasn’t a secret at all and we all saw his bald spot a couple years prior when he’d appear in interviews, award shows, and public events. But this episode reveals that Sam Malone had a bald spot, not just Ted Danson. I have a theory why Ted Danson stopped hiding his bald spot for a few years. He didn’t want people to think he was trying to be Sam Malone in real life. Sam Malone would never show to the public.
